Possible idea for the next Forge: Game mode checklist for items?

Now if this idea has been already fabricated then by all means close/ignore this thread.

For those who forge quite a bit I am sure they can agree that it gets a bit tedious to have to go back and forth between the lobby and the game mode to set up stuff for certain game types. Having to exit, select the proper gametype, and re enter to just set up respawn zones for a gametype is probably the worst annoyance of forging for me(not counting glitches and hiccups). What I propose is a checklist available for all items within forge.

The checklist would be in the “advanced settings” area of an items settings, with the checklist being an area in an out of itself. The checklist would allow the player to set what gametypes the item can appear in and what it will not (with standard being all checked when they spawn). With each gametype that is checked that item has access to settings for a particular gametype, such as objective settings (flag_return, as_bomb, koth_hill, etc.) and will not have access to those when unchecked.

With the checklist, having to go back and forth between lobby and game will become a thing of the past, there would only have to be one respawn zone for each area rather than a respawn zone for each gametype in that area, and this would get rid of having to set items to “none” in Invasion/Race. There could be more, but the main point is that it will be less of a hassle for forgers to forge than our current state allows.

Glad to hear. If forge in Halo 4 has a similar system to Reach, I would hope something along these lines is implemented.
