This has story spoilers for halo 4 so if you don’t wanna know please don’t read it, you have been warned.
Halo 4 shows 2 things that I believe will be carried over strongly into halo 5 and 6. Master Chief wanting to know his human side and cortana wanting to be human. I believe that halo 5 will be about master chiefs search for cortana.
I believe cortana was copied by the librarian when she was taken during mission 5 and because of that master chief will be able to find her and get her repaired like he planed to in halo 4. The librarian also said that the composer would be able to make digital life into organic life (although all attempts to do so did create abominations). My theory is that Halsey has some kinda brain wave that will be able to sort that problem out and allow for cortana to be made human.
Master chief will also get to become more human in that way he interacts with cortana leading to his human side coming out more and more to allow the story to explore that. The end result of these things would be that both master chief and cortana would be able to continue there relationship because of this. to be honest the whole idea sounds a little rubbish to me but that’s the direction i think the game is gonna go.
