The Xbox YouTube channel has a “Inside Xbox: gamescom 2018 special” stream up that will go live on the 21st, the thumbnail has slides for games I’m guessing they’ll be focusing on or at least showing, of which are (from left to right) Forza Horizon 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Battlefield 5, Fallout 76, Gears 5, and then on the far right there’s a slide with a snippet of the bottom right part of Chief’s helmet from Infinite showing the flashlights. So I thought maybe there’s a possibility of some news at Gamescom? Please for the love of all that is good and holy? Or it means nothing and that just symbolizes Halo is part of Xbox and they had nothing else to put there lol

I legit would be satisfied with just some concept art, I don’t care what, just SOMETHING lol
My guess is they’ll replay the engine demo and hype it up a bit more. Gamescom isn’t big enough to release any big news in my mind. Additionally, Gears 5 looks like it’s further along in development so I doubt there would be anything new for Infinite unless there’s something new for Gears.

You’re right Gears and Forza will most likely be their main focus. If they released anything on Infinite it’d be small.
I just hope they announce Halo MCC coming to PC. I don’t even care if there is no release date, just confirmation. They announced Halo Wars 2 at a Gamescom so big announcements aren’t out of the picture.

That would be cool, would help build hype for Infinite within the PC community too.
Have doubts we’ll see anything related to campaign since E3 was more of a game reveal while next year will probably show off game-play so I guess the only thing they could possibly show at Gamescom is the multiplayer but it’s more likely it will probably just be about when the Halo Infinite ‘flight’ program starts or a general release date for the game.

Sure but I doubt it’ll be a for a while plus I believe 343i did say a while back that all future Halo games would have a beta.

Yeh I’m not sure what to think of it. Kind of feel like Flight should be used to get 343i to understand how Halo games should be made but instead I suspect it’ll just be like Halo 5 where they’ll want some minor testing then release a few months later, by then I doubt they’d change much.

I’m thinking it’ll be somewhere in between. The fact that they’re using the word “flight” leads me to believe there will be multiple tests. I can’t see them changing major mechanics though. Look how long it took them to remove charge and ground pound, and even then only in the competitive playlist. My guess is within a year to a year and a half they’ll do a number of flights then a beta or two bearing launch to server stress test.
The most likely thing we’ll something Halo related at Gamescom is:
A) Announcement of the MCC update release/release for for game pass/PC news
B) Halo Infinite Beta/Flight news IF they are planning for a 2019 release date
