I had posted this in the thread about surrenders and have thought about it a bit more. I would love to hear some feedback on this idea.
Instead of a surrender option, how about a final defense option. Call it a core overload. When a team gets triple capped and core is vulnerable, have and option to initiate a core overload that would destroy the whole map. Was thinking that could have it so that the defending team has to go to each req station in the core and enable it. Defending team has to activate it at each station in the home base. Once it is started, a countdown timer starts, say 5 min(not sure on this maybe it should be a little less). The opposing team has to destroy the core to avert the overload, or it the defending team caps a base it would deactivate as well. If the opposing team does not stop the overload the core detonates and destroys everything. The match then ends in a draw. This is still a pretty broad idea so far, and needs a lot of refining and details worked out.
My thoughts are that it would put a stop to farming, but still give both sides a real reason to fight. The defenders would still defend hard to stop the loss. The attackers would still have to push hard to save the win. I was thinking this is only for warzone.
