im sure this hs been talked about but in the story just north of the house of reckoning there is a good sized land mass tha we can get to and ever since the story came out i was always wondering why if anyone knows what the point of this area is really and why its blocked off i would love to know it just seems odd

Im pretty sure its because they had to cut a lot out of the campaign because they ran out of time.

There was more to be planned for the campaign’s open world, but time constraints compounded by mass exoduses of staff members resulted in the overworld not being complete and the FOBs not being numerous enough. For example, we skip over FOB India and FOB Mike.
It would be nice for them to do a free-content-update to add in those areas for exploration, a few new side missions, and have it be a sort of teaser for the next major chapter of the Halo Infinite Story.
Sort of how Borderlands 2 received a DLC years later to be a playable teaser for Borderlands 3’s story setup and cast members.
