Possible Co Op Solutions

Its clearly been acknowledged that its not fully perfected but the fueds in the forums clearly show its a critical pillar for Halo to many players.

Possible temporary solutions

  • Have a Campaign level flighted for Co Op - Release the game splitscreen on Campaign only - Reduce the max player count from 4 to 2 for launch. - Have a ‘main’ game save and the other players as ‘guests’ so they data is jumbled. - __Allow Co Op only within a local network/LAN__I just believe at this point, I’d rather launch with a slightly broken Co op than not one at all. By the time Co Op would launch, it wouldn’t make sense to play campaign. In terms of flighting, it seems it’s been solely about multiplayer. If campaign Co op is struggling, allow hundreds of thosuands test the Co op and acquire the appropriate data. It’s disheartening to see the community tear at each other for a core feature of Halo. Co Ops been in the game since 2001. It’s disappointing to have Halo at its 20th anniversary and not have Co op at launch.

Or, just hold campaign back until coop is ready, and release multiplayer and season 1 this year. MP is free to play so you aren’t “buying” an incomplete game if you install it.

I do agree with this as well. I’d be ok delaying campaign to ensure the experience is top notch.
