Possible Cause of Specialization issue

I’ve played a lot of Halo before Nov. 20th, and should rightfully receive my specialization code. What I fear has happened is that the email was sent to an account I no longer have access too, because I cannot recover the password and the email address is very old. Does anyone know if 343 has any way to help players like me who have this issue and others who might? Not getting the code would essentially make me abandon this game, and I would hate to have it because of something so seemingly fixable like this.
