I found this on twitter today, I don’t think it’s anything relevant but I wanted to share it with you, what do you think?
I’m not surprised if it’s true, but I wouldn’t read too much into it until Xbox, 343i or Microsoft confirm or debunk it. Also, there’s no mention of it here in a recent article where Bonnie Ross states the delay is for a reason but the wait will be worth it. Still, I’m a great believer in the saying no smoke without fire, time will tell.
Perhaps there will be a different version for the Xbox One and the employee in question is working on the X|S and PC versions.

Lol, was just saying that exact thing to my wife. Great minds think alike
That’s wishful thinking, and there are pros and cons to the Xbox One version being cancelled. 343 has already stated that we shouldn’t take any leaks as true unless you hear it as an official announcement.
Unless 343 confirms it themselves don’t buy into it. Plus they’ve already said in the past that they aren’t dropping the Xbox One version.
This whole Cyber Punk fiasco is getting out of hand, everyone believes that because a developer screwed up and shipped a broken game that every other developer must screw up in the same way because that’s “just how it is.” Unless 343 lies to me and says their game works, when clearly it doesn’t on a previous system, I won’t be equating them to the failure of Cyber Punk.
If we really want to hold 343 to a standerd we need to make sure they tell us the truth on if they’re making a functional game or not. I have no concern that they can make a fun game on a previous system considering some of the games that have launched over the years on Xbox one. It seems greedy to imagine that they wont be able to make a rich experience unless it’s on the most modern hardware.
There’s no way they aren’t releasing it on xbox one. That would just be throwing away most of their revenue
Would be annoyed if it’s also canceled for the One X which is more powerful than the Series S
Think MS said they wouldn’t release anything on One X and not base Xbox One, but feel like they could make an exception in this case

Depends, they might be saving money if they don’t have to waste time and recources to issue refunds. I’ll certainly say that I won’t believe it until there’s official confirmation stating facts. But, I wouldn’t say there’s no way they are not releasing it on Xbox One either. The Xbox One will be another year older next Xmas, anything could happen, even more delays are possible, you just don’t know for sure.
This is not true, Unyshek recently published this tweet in response to a statement saying that Infinite would no longer be on Xbox One

Maybe multiplayer really IS a separate port and THAT is whats not coming to last gen xbox
Yea infinite is coming to original Xbox sure… but not the multiplayer. How much of a smack in the face would that be lol

All cleared up, thank you very much
It’s awesome and good that it will not be on the Xbox One/X Version.
If you want 2 or 3 AAA-Halo Shooter on one generation of a console blame 343/Microsoft, it’s that easy.
It’s amazing how basic reading comprehension has declined in the united states…furthermore fact checking ability or clicking the link in this thread that the one person who has big bold RED under their screen name posted.
It wouldn’t surprise me if XB1 got FTP multiplayer only. They still get “the game” & player population in MM would be higher. Would lead to different teams. Just a theory.
One of my friends was just talking about this actually. I would be surprised but I wouldn’t be mad. Look at the disastrous launch Cyberpunk 2077 had on the previous gen consoles, and I have yet to see any glitches or issues while playing it on the Series X.

I understand the point, but 343i and CDPR are two different developers. I have faith in 343i. Maybe the year long delay is to ensure cross gen is stable? Also, there’s a link in this thread (thanks to Breezy). Uny has debunked this rumour. I’m convinced the Xb1 version of the game isn’t going anywhere.

^ Agreed…everyone conveniently is forgetting that Halo Infinite is built off the Xbox One and built up for the Series X/S. You’re still getting a game built off that platform whether they cancel the xbox one support or not. This outcry to cancel most Xbox users at this point is just plain stupidity…people who cant think past their first thought as opposed to expanding on their rationale (not everyone just some people). How is this going to ‘limit’ the game in any way for Series X/S users outside of the point the game was already built off the xbox one and built up for the newer hardware. I’m assuming any post launch materials are going to download and be catered to that consoles specific hardware capabilities. Perfect example is MCC currently.
not to mention the can of worms that cyberpunk encountered when selling to both microsoft and sony and trying to build off those number of consoles.
Can we combine these two baby threads into one conversation?

^ That’s what I’m sayin!!! Its either lets talk about cancelling the older consoles for Infinite or lets talk about the Flight/Beta
