Possible camo fix?

How about this: users of active camo have their vision distorted beyond a certain distance (ala sitting in the regen field, or something akin to it, albeit they have clear vision up close and it slowly worsens past a certain point). That way it’s still usable in close quarters, and makes big team camo snipers all but disappear.

Thoughts?

The radar jammer is a big gave away to where a person using Camo is.
And Snipers generally go unseen, with or without Camo.

Just make it like camo from crysis and make it have the same effects problem solved if you shoot with out decloaking you reveal your location and pop your own shield.

Oh yes, Madman, I’ve read your thoughts on the subject, and honestly, they’re rubbish. And snipers… well, non-camo snipers get taken out quite handily in BTB, or at least have enough pressure put on them that they’re not ridiculous. I was in a BTB game on Ragnarok (side note- bored of that map, was bored of it in H3) with a guy who solely camo-sniped and had an overall K/D of 30,000/5,000. A few days ago I got JIP’d into a Longbow BTB where their sniper (again, solely BTB camo sniper) had a K/D of 16,000/1,600. 10 kills to 1 death. Neither of these individuals would have anywhere near the K/D’s they do if camo either did not exist or were changed in the manner that I’ve suggested. They may be great snipers; I’m a pretty decent sniper myself. The difference? No one saw them, and no one saw them again and again and again.

YOU may be a god incarnate and capable of spotting anyone in camo from 200m away while they’re not moving, but 99% of everyone else cannot.

ANYWAY, people in Halo: Reach had huge K/D Ratio’s from using a Banshee/Scorpion only, were they nerfed? Nope.
Which, oddly enough, is a good a reason as any to have Plasma Pistols in a loadout.

An idea I haz - the farther you are, the more a red tag shows up above your head (Like, you know how if you aim at someone for some time a red tag shows up? Once far enough, if using camo, the tag shows up the moment someone is aiming in just a general direction.)

It efficiently solves camo snipers to those who actually care about the camo sniper, but still allows camo users to be camo users.

Maybe they should just get rid of the predator effect and allow unlocked camouflage skins instead. That commercial where the EOD is up against the rock face while unseen was pretty good indicator that snipers would still have some advantage but not the over powering see through variant that’s being currently used.

JUST MAKE IT SO THAT THE CAMO IS LIKE THE CAMO FROM CRYSIS!!! IF YOU SHOOT WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN CAMO THEN YOU INSTANTLY LOSE ALL YOUR AA POWER AND IT SHOULD ALSO DROP YOUR SHIELDS AND MAKE YOU ONE SHOT.

Banshee and scorpion were only available on a few maps. Camo is available to everyone, regardless of the map.

A shield reduction whilst using camo would make sense. This way, if a Camo user gets in the first shot on a fully shielded player, the camo user will have extra pressure to finish the job since they were already at a shield disadvantage

Also, TAKE THEIR DAMN AIM ASSIST OFF.

If i’m not getting aim assist even if i know where they are, they should not be able to have aim assist on me either.

No it wouldn’t it would then actually make you think about how you use it and just make it so you can walk around with it with no loss of your invisibility keep the jammer though so people no you are around i think this would make a fairly balanced camo not sure about sprinting with it though perhaps this shouldn’t be allowed i don’t know.

Shorten active camo use time, take off users radar when in use.

My main gripe about camo is just the snipers. I don’t have too much issue finding them in enclosed spaces, and most of them are toggle-crouchers who stay crouched while I 5 shot them. However, being spawn-sniped on Exile by red team gets annoying.

yep, shorten its duration time and increase its charge time again at least

I don’t know what but active camo needs something besides radar jamming to balance it. Maybe you should have less heath when you use it? or maybe if you shoot when its on you have to recharge it?
