So me and a three of my buddies are experiencing a weird problem with our controllers randomly becoming unresponsive while playing campaign. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. This only happens with this game as well. We will be playing and occasionally one of our controllers will disconnect (We don’t live in the same house FYI). When reconnecting the controller it will sync with the Xbox (even being plugged in as well) it won’t be responsive. It takes us hard resetting our xbox’s to get the controller to work again.
It’s like there is something in the game code where it will randomly lock up our controller. Anyone else experience this?
I have been having this same problem as well though ive herd this a problem for some other games as well ive made a detailed description of my problem in my own thread as well as thread on the support forums for xbox one. well see what is said here and on the xbox one support forums
I’ve noticed this and I just thought it was my controller and i was stuck running at a wall or staring into the air in the middle of a melee fight. my controller does come unplugged if i tug on the wire just a little to much. but i didn’t tug on it and this was happening.
-Last fall I got a second Xbox1 through replacement because my controllers were no longer staying connected to the console. And that usb cable that came with my Xbox, it barely moves, the connections, and the controller shuts off. So the usb cable, even tho mine is 2yrs old, doesn’t work at all.
So I’ve had this second Xbox since the fall, playing MCC no real controller issues. Then my controller broke two days ago as it got dropped and the joystick broke. So I get a new one and I go to update the controller. Now since that update, the controller shuts off and doesnt stay connected for more than 7seconds or so… The Controller works fine at a friends Xboxone, but not mine. And I can’t keep using that usb cable because since mine is 2yrs old the connections, if u move them even slightly, it shuts off.
IM REALLY UPSET
Because that second XBox I got for free from replacement last fall, it’s warrenly expired April 18. I didnt get the extended warrently, now I’m hooped for sending it away for 12 days or so to get fixed, at my expense, $120. I’m really a cross roads. I’ve been an xbox live subsriber on the same account since 2004, and only ever really played Halo the most, and I get treated like this? Why should I pay for my piece of crap Xbox to get fixed another time? MCC is broken, I’m not missing much. But I really want to play mcc if its ever fixed decent (which i doubt anyways). Halo 5 is looking good, thats all im interested in Xboxone.
Thank you microsoft, you gave me a replacement counsole in Oct, now mine has crapped the bed and you leave me hanging. SCREW YOU, my controllers are not working properly now after the update. I HATE YOU SO MUCH MICROSOFT, but I love Halo thats why I keep getting your crappy console.
I really don’t get it, you can’t buy a wire controller for xbox one. But the usb cable they include is one of the worst things ever. Even the side usb port on my xbox doesnt work for that cable, and I cant use the cable to plug in the controller because it’ll shut off if any of the connections move slightly. JUNK, ps4 and xbox one are junk, I’m sick of this.
