I’ve heard people complaining that sprint and thrusters are a bit overpowered. Many people don’t like sprint at all. I’m all for it as long as it is balanced. I’m really just spitballing here but here is a thought to tone them down a bit while still letting them be useful.
Tie sprint and thrusters together. Suppose you have a meter sort of like how you had with Reach.
One second of sprint lowers the meter 25%
One thrust lowers the meter 50%
So you could sprint for 4 seconds, sprint for 2 seconds and thrust once, simply thrust twice, etc.
I feel like you can still escape too easily. I’ve been in situations where I feel like I should have died but some panic thrusts and sprinting helped me get away.

Well sometimes the player just fails at killing you or chasing you. Your shield is not recharging while sprinting. Somebody can always come from nowhere and headshot you. Also while your hiding to charge your shield, you do nothing and you are loosing some kill actions.
i think there fine as they are, sprint takes 1 sec with out taking damage to get to full speed and your shields dont recharge, thrusters can be used more then once every few secs so escaping with them you have to know where you are on the map

I find that when that happens, it doesn’t really take all that much for the enemy to chase or cut you off. Your shields don’t recharge while sprinting, so running really doesn’t help you if your opponent is remotely competent.
I feel that it’s perfectly balanced, if I’m in the right position I know I can lure an enemy or evade him. Also I don’t find people escape, maybe because they aren’t dashing right but even good players. I think it adds a new dimension to the whole game, brilliantly balanced.
I really haven’t been bothered by it. Surprisingly it’s the only thing I’ve been questionable about. Aside from the AR. I feel like it has too much range.
