Possible armor core themed after armor in Halo 4/5?

I know Halo 4 and 5 weren’t very popular with a lot of people, but I liked a lot of the armor, like the Halo 5 anubis. Think a core with that version of the armor will ever be added?

I think eventually it might, with a 10 year plan I’d say it’s more likely then not. Though, Gen III was designed to have more plating then Gen II. Which is actually why there being MK V [B] versions of Gen III actually isn’t that unrealistic. So I’m not sure how they’d justify it in lore, but I’m sure they’ll think of something. And I’ve never been one to care too much about lore accuracy in multiplayer, it’s just something to think about.

I’m juggling whether 343 will make the Mark VI core cover Halo 3, 4, 5, Halo Online, and MCC non-canon armors, or if 343 will screw up big time yet again, and make Mark VI [A], [B], [C], and [D], all separate cores, with Halo Reach fridge magnet slap-ons, instead of full body armor customization like those games actually had.

Weren’t those games all different gens of Mjolnir? They could lable them that way.

They were all Mark VI according to MCC, but 4, 5, and Online were technically Mark VI Gen 2 in lore, but then MCC put Halo Online armors and Gen 2 undersuits in Halo 3, since Halo Online was built using Halo 3. As far as 343 cares, it’s all just Mark VI. That doesn’t mean they won’t do something stupid and separate the cores, just to be stupid and sell the same colors again and again. The Medieval style armors might even end up their own Fracture core, instead of Mark VI, meaning you couldn’t even make your Halo 3 MCC Spartan in Infinite.

I mean, they’re probably going to make them separate cores no matter what they call them. They know we don’t like it, but like you said, they can sell us the same coating multiple times. Imagine having to buy Cadet Blue 10 times, but each time it gets a new “cool” name. Like Cool Blue, Awesome Blue, Totally Not Recruit Blue, or Lucky Blue.

Exactly. I despise what 343 has become. Like the saying goes, “You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.” and here we are. Halo Infinite has become the worst possible Halo future.

Chiefs armor design in Halo 4 - Halo 5 was the best design in my opinion, same for the rest of the Spartans ; 343 Industries made the Spartans look like walking tanks compared to Bungie’s power rangers designs, too skinny and flat. Bungie kinda nailed it with Reach, but even then hardly any bulky armor designs - Jorges.

It’s not popular with this fourm*

I personally liked the armors in 4, 5, and Online. They genuinely felt futuristic and Sci-fi, like all these other futuristic games out there. People just really love the classic Halo Motocross helmets and armors. Like, they were literally Motocross, Astronaut, Air Force pilot, etc style helmets. Sure, they felt moderately authentic space military, but it didn’t feel 550 years in the future. It felt 100-200 years in the future.

Halo 5 for me has the best armors overall. Centurion, Mark VI MOD, Helljumper, Recon, Recruit, etc. I’ve always preferred the futuristic sci-fi look of the 4-5 era armors to the absurdly skinny and boring Power Rangers look of the Bungie era designs (not counting Reach’s armors, those look great). I still think Mark V Delta looks great though.

With that said, the GEN3 Blue Team armors like the ones on the Shadows of Reach cover and those new Mega Construx figures are complete downgrades and it disgusts me.
