Not Master Sergeant Avery Johnson, but his possible son or daughter, assuming of course that Jilan al-Cygni survived during the course of the Human/Covenant war. It may not even be possible in H4 since its really about the chief and the Spartan IVs, but in 5 and 6 it could be. I say its possible because the person in question would more than likely be close to their late 20’s considering Avery’s involvement with al-Cygni on Harvest.
The chances of them being alive are VERY slim. They could be in halo 5 or 6 but don’t hold your breath.

I’m not, but I just had to put it out there. Johnson was the most badass character in Halo besides the Chief, so some kind of legacy that could be rekindled would be interesting.
I don’t see what would be so interesting about a child of Johnson’s suddenly popping into the limelight.

Because Chief needs a guy like Johnson in the games who’s at his side and also fights with him, oh and I don’t think Lasky fits the role of fighting besides Chief.

Why not? Lasky and the Chief have a history we will learn about through Forward Unto Dawn. Frankly, if a alleged child of Johnson’s was used, I would cringe if they were a carbon copy of their father. That simply isn’t interesting to me.
That is the only reason I see this suggestion being asked for anyway, people want another stereotypical badass black guy. Someone like Lasky presents a more meaningful relationship.
I don’t think anyone can ever make up for Johnson, he was far too badass, the Chuck Norris of the Halo universe salutes Hoorah.
Don’t get me wrong, I think he was too badass to replace, but having some kind of mark by having his child assist in the second war would have him live on through that person.

-
Lasky fighting beside you is not the same as Johnson fighting beside you.
-
Lasky won’t be able to fight anyway as he’ll be Commander of the Infinity by the end(Del Rio will die).

I keep getting the feeling that he’ll die too, but we’ll see.

He doesn’t have to fight besides you to have the a similar, if not far more meaningful relationship, akin to Johnson’s

No he will die, because 343 said Forward Unto Dawn was to show how Master Chief in the end inspired Lasky to become Commander of the Infinity when the Commander dies.
Think we should just accept that Johnson is dead and he’s never coming back. Sure I would of loved to see some comic one liners if he saw the Prometheans for the first time but we’ll just have to remember him as when Bungie did Halo, draw a line and move forward with new characters

I’m with him.
Having Johnson’s daughter just so we can get more badass talk to me strikes the same vein that ruined the Star Wars Prequels. People wanted more of what they already had. More FX, more lightsabers, more battles.
