Ah yes. The redundant argument. This is why we have less weapons now because of that stupid argument.

Idc that the dmr and the carbine basically do the same thing. I played with them because they shot differently. Not because they were different for different sakes.

Weapons are designed to kill. They shouldn’t be “filling roles”.

This is why the magnum in halo 5 was goat because you didn’t need to pick up anything. You could win the game with that gun alone.

And yes I do need all those variations because I actually used them. The long shot AR. The senitial DMR. The stabilizer smg. All of tthese things had uses to them and we’re unique to the sandbox. This also helped the weapon glitch.

I want MORE options. Not less. In halo 5 you got to choose your weapons and have MORE options. In halo infinite. You don’t even have options.

And to be frank I don’t care about new weapons. We already have a vast selection of weapons they could’ve put in the game like the fuel rod canon. The covenant sniper. The grenade launcher. The Hydra. All of these things are in halo 5. Some came later than others but we had options.

If everyone would have this mindset, we would get Halo 4 all over again. Just create 50 different ARs & BRs and call it a day. I don’t want a COD like Weapon Sandbox in Halo.

Halos Core Gameplay is like playing chess. Utilize different elements of the Sandbox (Vehicles, Weapons, Pickups) and create unique engagements.
If every Weapon is doing the same thing and has no traits, this game would turn into a mindless, generic FPS with 24 People running around in a circle like headless chickens. (Similiar to H4)
There is nothing wrong with having a bit of overlapping, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel with every new Weapon. But having 50 different ARs will lead to laziness. The Game would become stale pretty fast.

By the way, I’m pretty sure that more Weapons will be added into the game. I’m not defending things coming out later, but I’d rather have well thought out & unique Weapons. The Fuel Rod Cannon, the regular Grenade Launcher & the Plasma Caster will be in the game in the Future. Same goes for the regular Shotgun.

Except Halo 5 wasn’t Halo 4 and halo 5 is what I’m defending.

Choices don’t hurt gameplay. You don’t have to have all the choices on the map. That’s what made them great because you can make different types of maps that had a vastly different weapon selection. Now when we make maps in forge there is barely a choice on what could be there because there are so little options.

Halo 4 was also based around the loadout and class system. Something I’m not defending.

I agree on this specific point. But c’mon bro this is a pisitive thread. Im sure if you calm down a lil bit youll find some good points on the game :handshake:

Well I think the new weapons are pretty ok. Like the heatwave. And electric pistol. I keep forgetting what it’s called. I just want more options is all. It’s pretty jarring going from litterally hundreds of options down to 10 or so weapons

yeah but it gets really boring if there is only one weapon per class, maybe today i want to play at a disadvantage against br players, but there is no carbine or dmr in Inf to pick up😥
