Positive Multiplayer Feedback Thread

Given the nature of feedback we tend to hear more about what was bad, while what was good tends to not be mentioned. The intention isn’t to create a hug box of sorts, but to be a means for 343i to potentially see what they got right.

What part, or parts about Infinite do you think 343i did exceptionally well regarding multiplayer?

Equipments feel good to use.
More Equipments please.

All the weapons except the Pulse Carbine are worth dropping an AR for, as each one will increase your lethality in one way or another. And despite that, the AR is also worth picking up in Ranked/BR starts games.

That’s incredible balance right there. Aside from one outlier the entire weapon sandbox is viable.

cough Ravager cough

It’s pretty much useless and non-versatile, and only has the niche use of using it to suicide into an enemy holdout spot with a full pocket of grenades, because after you die, the flame puddle will set off all the grenades.

It is capable of instantly draining the shields of every enemy in a small room.

You realize that right? It’s like a multi-noob combo. Release the flames, and pop everyone once in the head with your Sidekick or BR for a free multikill.

Sprint arugument is not dead.

As dead as you’ll get it to make classic and modern partly happy.

Unless… Well… Volt

I honestly can’t get enough of the gameplay. The sandbox (including both weapons and equipment) is fantastic.

A side note: as refreshing as it is to see a positive thread for once, it’s a bummer that the Waypoint forums have hit such a low point that a post like this even needs to be made. There’s plenty of great things about Infinite. What was once valid criticism on these forums has totally morphed into redundant nitpicking and pure toxicity. Glad to see people talking about the good things for a change, though!

We’re you there on the Livestream of the gameplay reveal?

The moment he used Sprint the chat flooded.

There’s so many people against Sprint. Just because there is a little echo chamber on this forum doesn’t mean that there isnt people against Sprint

Ok well I disagree, sprint is no where near as fast as H5, practically works as a slide activator and doesn’t attract anywhere near as much negative attention as H5 did.

Even Favyn hasn’t released 97 videos about sprint so it must be ok :joy:

Anyway this is a thread about positivity, everyone knows I can be negative so I forced 6 positive things out of my cynical head.

There’s barely a single thread here about sprint (like you said) so if you feel negative towards it, make one and give your views there and then we can leave OP alone :joy:

Ok I’ll do op a favor. I like when you can slide after a grapple so you can fling yourself across the map.

You also realize that that sort of situation is one in a million.
I don’t know who you’re playing with if they’re so bad to all huddle together in a small room.

Honestly I think it’s a gross minority that actually doesn’t like this game or thinks it “killed Halo” or wants to quit.

The game itself is excellent we just need more stability, more content, and more plauer-friendly monetization practices.

The player population speaks for itself

The population wants to see the things I mentioned get improved before coming back to give it another go.

Look at games like Destiny (both games), Battlefront 2, and MCC. The population of both games dropped hard after release, but once each of these games got much needed improvements they completely turned around and are now fairly beloved by their fanbases.

All of these games had good bones, but failed on release because of mostly the same issues holding Infinite back. Destiny had bad stability issues and a lack of content, MCC was a buggy nightmare, and Battlefront 2 is famous for its horrendous monetization on launch.

I mainly have positive things to say about the multiplayer overall.

The only thing I dislike about the multiplayer is that we cannot choose our server regions (Europe, US West, Australia etc). I do not think that global matchmaking belongs to ranked modes.

When I get to play in my own region, I am having so much fun.

+Gameplay (superior to H5, H4 & Reach)
+unique weapon sandbox
+more emphasis on enviroment in general
+Art Style (probably the best in the series next to 2, reach & HW2)
+Music / Soundtracks
+Freedom in campaign in terms of engagement
+Enemy A.I. is brilliant in campaign
+the tone of the campaign
+voice acting
+better maps than H5

You drop your sidekick for the pulse carbine and keep the AR. When you come across someone outside of comfortable AR range, pull out the pulse carbine and blast them. The gun only gets its homing effect when scoped in attacking targets at medium range, and it does that one thing extremely well.

I like the new player introduction sequence before games. You get to see all the players, what armor they got and all.

You got the knuckle pop, the shoulder shake, the 1-2, and the arm cross. In fact, I would like to see more of those as customization options. A roundhouse kick would be pretty cool.
