OMG the OP asked to leave comments that were positive, not sit here and talk around it. G on another thread if you’re going to do that to the OP, there’s other threads for complaing and getting side tracked.
For me, MLG,e just about everything to be honest, it i really like forge and the arsenal of weapons.
Also loadouts, sprint being a regular thing, jet pack nerf, armor lock gone, I could go on forever lol

I do hope you weren’t referring to me. If you were I’d like to remind you that this is a public forum. I wasn’t insulting the OP. I was pointing out that asking nicely isn’t going to keep negativity from the thread.
I love the BR. Like the new maps and armor customization. Like choice of load out options.
I feel like there have been thousands of multiplayer suggestions so maybe ill just give some suggestions for the campaign.
I liked what they did with Midnight where you fly the broadsword. Its a good example of a way to kind of break up the consistent “run to this button shoot some things on the way and go to next area” formula a lot of the campaign had. It kind of reminded me of the halo 3 mission The Ark, where you take part in that giant air battle. it just freshens things up.
Speaking of running from button to button, thats something we need less of. Replaying the halo 4 campaign i noticed a lot of those areas where it was just runnning from button to button and the objectives never really gave me any investment in what i was doing. but thats just my opinion.
Just a personal misstep for me was the campaign story itself. In the original halos you had this huge war going on which you were a key part of. We fought the covenant through multiple games. And in Halo 4 our antagonist the Didact was introduced and brought down (as far as we know) within one game. I know this series is supposed to focus more on Chiefs story and his place in the universe but it just didnt feel as epic and enthralling to me.
Pos.
- Looks great
- Music is some of the best
- Throwing the ball in Oddball might be one of the smallest yet best ideas in this game i think.
ya there isn’t a lot of pos. i’m sorry to say
the neg. in this game is just so high… I do like H4 more then reach but they really just need to use H3 as a template (for online play) I think 343 just focused on doing too many new things and forgot about all the things that worked SO well in past Halo games…
In terms of things in Halo 4 has improved the game as a whole, and not something that has simple been brought back from a previous game that wasn’t in Reach:
-No more AR Starts, that’s been good.
-Weapon sandbox. Many more interesting and useful weapons.
That’s about it. Graphics and sound are standard things which should be better in a new game anyway. Other good things such as receiving assists properly as oppose to the stupid Reach system is something we’ve had before.

Halo 2’s sound track was amazing. Hands down the best music ever produced in Halo and gaming history. But I still like Halo 4’s sound track and from what I can tell so do other people.
Some nice things:
-Warthog looks epic
-Mounted turrets are finally useful again
-Assault Rifle got some love
-Mantis
-Epic Promethean Knights
-Epic Music
-BR is back
-Dominion is very fun
-Hornet on Skyline
-Darter on outcast
:T

That’s okay. I feel the same way but I have just gotten tired of seeing the same threads bashing Halo 4 so I thought I would try to bring in a positive atmosphere. Thanks for sharing your positive feedback though!

YES. I hated trying to go out of my way back in previous halos to get either a BR or DMR when we could’ve just started out with one of those.
I love how noobs now can kill every one and think they are pros. That was the best for this game “noob friendly”
i liked the whole game. to me everything was a welcome positive. ill be playing halo 4 for a long time.

I wasn’t very keen on Halo 4’s music, I know they wanted to go somewhere new but for me I’m finding it hard to venture away to what we were used to before. Marty O’Donnell set an incredible atmosphere and tone for the Halo story/Universe his music made me connect with the story and characters, and the tracks and themes he created really stood out from anything I’ve ever heard in a video game or even movies before, he really created a unique Identity for the series and his music always has my imagination going wild i am obsessed with it.
Neil Davidge and Kazuma Jinnouchi wasn’t bad or anything but they didn’t seem to create a unique feeling or Identity for Halo 4 and I didn’t seem to connect with the story that he made the music to. Im not being blinded by nostalgia (well maybe a little) but it’s not the reason I’m not a fan of the new music.
Loadouts are a great idea, now I won’t be stuck playing a large map with an AR start.
The LightRifle is my best friend.
Snapshot and Road Trip are the best medals in the game.
Grifball has been improved better than I could have hoped (I’ve always enjoyed it before, but now its incredible.)
Seeing actual vehicles on radar is a convenient addition.
-
Flood Mode!
-
Custom Loadouts
-
Spartan Ops
-
Weapon Sandbox
-
The New Gametypes
Those are just a few that I can think of. I really love what 343i did with Halo 4. Sure, there’s issues, but overall I fell like they did a great job. And they just keep doing better.
The canonical back story behind the multiplayer is genius, making it seem much more than just killing people, but it makes multiplayer seem so much more meaningful.
And the multiplayer is much more fast paced and entertaining (instant respawn, sprinting, and more.)
They should bring back firefight, along with SpOPs as well, with firefight being comparable to forge.
> I love how noobs now can kill every one and think they are pros. That was the best for this game “noob friendly”
Please refrain from making negative and non-constructive posts. Remember, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.
Since this is a thread solely about what we liked, this should be easy.
- Added map based special forge objects
- Added duplicate function for forge objects
- Ability to lock forge objects
- Brought back the Carbine
- Created Spartan Ops
- Created new multiplayer gametypes
- Kept 4 player splitscreen and system link, one of the few games that still do.
- Minor graphical improvements
