Population Plummet

I can’t see this games population getting lower than Halo 5 and that games population was healthy enough for me up until like 2019 or later. Thats all I care about is that I am still able to find games quick with decent connection.

I mean the game is almost unplayable on PC considering the broken aiming mechanics, no aim assist, poor hit registration, and random burst of packet loss even in low ping matches. So it kind of makes since

BTB is broke, game on PC crashes all the time, playlists were limited until this week, and if you want to play with MnK you’re setting yourself up for a disadvantage against controller. It’s not that surprising people are quitting the game on PC.
Edit: Ooo and desync. Lots of other things with the game that make it not as good as other PC games available. Servers are best 64 tick. There’s no rejoin feature for games. Etc.

Someone is gonna get fired because of BTB, but that ain’t gonna make people come back. They had a ton of Betas and still the game is broken in many ways. I’m almost at level 100 after almost 800 games and will leave it there. I had fun, but this was enough

Well you can’t so…………

Post the numbers if you are so confident in what you said. You can’t because they stopped allowing people see them since halo 4. Research goes a long way before posting in a public forum.

As much as I like the game, I want it to tank. I want the message to be LOUD AND CLEAR. I’m out for metaphorical blood.

SBMM in social has made every single match an absolute unenjoyable sweat-fest. I’ve got other problems with the game like cross input putting console players at an disadvantage, power weapons are unanimously hot garbage, etc, but that’s besides the point.

I login and play 6 bot matches for the daily XP and I log out. I’m only playing the game at all, because my GPU fried early December. When it’s replacement finally comes in I’m going back to playing Warframe.

Whenever Forge gets added I might come back just for that assuming there’s new weapons that don’t suck to place on the map.

steam users also doesnt include pc gamepass users who have a good percent of the pc player base

This is true but the numbers would likely be rolled up with console as the overall Xbox platform numbers. They certainly would be further divided in internal data, but that’s not publicly available.

I imagine that when you look at top games played on the Xbox store, it likely includes all players from console, steam, and pc gamepass. Since as I understand it you need an Xbox live account to play even on steam (unless that is wrong?).

I’ve quoted my sources numerous times before. Doesn’t take more than 5 min of research to find these numbers. You can do it champ

And to make things worst, Ranking is kinda wack because it uses your invisible MMR instead of a Ranked MMR. So if you win games, you CAN lose Rank points because its balancing your hidden MMR.

This turns off alot of Hardcore players.

Hopefully all these issues are ironed out as soon as 343 are done resting.

You are a liar. I’ve done plenty of searches. If it’s actually so easy to find console specific population data for halo infinite then you could easily suggest a search or link or even make a claim on what the population is lol.

So either do that and prove yourself, or get of out here lmao.

I’m fairly certain kills and assist are now factored in the calculation. Perhaps even objective scoring as well. When the game came out, my friend and I played all our placement matches together.

He isn’t as skilled as me but we had the exact same win loss record.

He placed in silver while I placed in diamond. The only conclusion I could make is his poor KD placed him lower.

Halo Infinite is poorly optimized for PC, not to mention that the game overall favors controller players.

Then you consider its lack of content/features and I think its obvious why it dropped off so hard on Steam.

I think it is still extremely successful though. 70k players with all of its problems is nothing to scoff at.

check one of my recent topics. Should be something like “4 weeks later, Infinite is still the most played game on Xbox”. I’ve sourced it there.

Pretty much how it’s always been, the largest amount of people are in the bigger player size lists, and with that broken it only makes sense added on with all the other problems

Just did. All that is from the true achievement link is a snapshot of the Xbox most played games list.

It offers no specific numbers or any valuable trend metrics. It’s basically useless. It states that it at one point in time surpassed all those other games in concurrent players. But without any specifics.

It is literally no different than going to the Xbox store most played game list right now because it’s the same list. A list that may likely also include the pc gamepass and steam populations.

It logs in total play time across all users on xbox live servers and rallies the numbers up across the week. This includes everything in the xbox ECOsystem, xbox and pc. (Not including steam)

A few weeks ago there was 8-9 of us IRL friends playing…it was like the good old days. Most of them have got bored already and we struggle to get 3-4 on most nights already. The ongoing issue with BTB has only made things worse when you literally waste a whole night having only played 2 or 3 games…and you can only play so many custom games before it gets boring.

That’s just one small example of a group of players but you can easily imagine that scenario would be replicated many times over the globe…the mess this game is in means player retention is piss poor.

If they don’t care about the casual gaming population then casual gamers will just move on…and the HCS will just be left with having to literally beg via sponsorship and crowd funding for their prize money.
