Population issue causing bad MM?

I have heard from so many people how frustrating it is for randoms to match up against squads of 4 playing together. Halo 3 had a large enough population for fair 3v3 and 4v4 teams matching up exclusively for about 3-4 years easily. Why can’t halo 5 do this obvious thing? I wonder about their match making department. I am not a h5 hater, I just hate the poor system used. It’s like mcc which hasn’t been fixed in over 12 months.

I think it would be the trashy servers. The lag is real for both me and my friends, almost unplayable at times. (Ps, it’s not me, it’s H5. Only game of mine that has this problem)

As far as I recall, full party matching wasn’t consistently applied across all playlists in Halo 3. Only two I remember it happening (for sure) were Squad Battle and Ranked BTB. Take a wild guess which playlists suffered from the worst matchmaking times…

This is an idea that’s great in theory, poor in practice.

Doubt it’s the servers since it’s the Azure Cloud. What’s probably happening is you are being put into the wrong datacenter. That could definitely pose an issue if it’s throwing you in the West Coast data center when you are in the East Coast (just an example).

It might be the massive storm that’s rolling into Washington right now. I’m sitting in Seattle ATM and my power keeps flickering on and off.

There’s been server issues all night for me, hope you get in eventually. Love from the UK <3

Some times the game bugs out and lists the number of people on a playlist on a assualt it said there was once only 200 people playing

Actually I think that they figure with the “Spartan callouts” now that random should be able to work together to compete with teams because there is some communication. But in actual practice it doesn’t work.

I understand what your saying especially when you want good scrims when partied with 3 others

If you played MLG or slayer or snipers or swat- those all had 4v4 and 3v3 guaranteed match ups with parties. 2 or 1 was just random which is fine imo

I’m beginning to think 343 just isn’t skilled enough to do these things that Bungie did eight years ago. I know that sounds harsh, but there’s not many other plausible excuses.

Yah but I think there are other factors. Lack of motivation is clear. Lack of popularity may be a factor

no problem here…

Lots of Internet provider issues flying around right now with several different companies. Storms too. Or someone just spilled some coffee somewhere.

I’ve run entire games before calling out players and giving heads ups, only to find my mic wasn’t working… That’s more of an Xbone issure though. I don’t mind playing teams, it’s a new challenge
