Population and success question.

this is not bashing H5 in any way shape or form, as I am a heavy supporter of this series, this is more based off of my anxiety, I know that sounds extremely stupid but it is true.

My question is, do you think H5 will be successful and have a large amount of players on it at all times? I just want to be able to play a fun game without having to wait 10 minutes between matches, as it looks extremely fun and I just want people to be happy.

Well the primary reason for why people are having trouble with matchmaking in the MCC seems to be because servers outside the US are locked to their region and that can only be broken by having someone from the US play with you. Considering Halo 5 will have the ability to choose your data center (source the post-Beta blog) then I don’t see this as a problem.

Of course it will have a large amount of players. Whether it will be top of the charts though is yet to be seen.

I’m just worried about the halo community being torn apart by people wanting new things and people wanting a halo 2 clone. Personally, halo 2 was not that fun for me, the multiplayer at least, the battle rifle does not make it interesting.

I personally think it will be well populated. It looks like a lot of fun and I’m positive will be a great success. That’s just my opinion. But honestly, just get it and play it and try not to be anxious about it. All you can do is enjoy it.

You shouldn’t be worried about waiting too long to find matches. I play Titanfall occasionally and there is about 500 people playing a playlist, but I still find matches quickly.

All the extra abilities will be optional, so if you want a H2 clone you can make one in custom settings.

Besides, there’s always MCC if you want to play H2.

No I dont. It has no identity of its own and the competition looks incredible.

Honestly I don’t I’d be to worried. MCC is like the Frankenstein monster of video games. It was a little too ambitious plus the development on it was outsourced as well.

I don’t like halo 2’s multiplayer, so I won’t be doing that lol.

And then play on grey forge maps that run at 8 frames per second or on maps designed for H5 default settings…

When you meet someone who wants a Halo 2 clone, introduce me. Apparently they’re everywhere and everyone’s met one but me.
