I’m really confused why this game has pop in graphics i hope thats just the demo version not the final version because that gives me no reason to upgrade to an XSX at all thats really disappointing…I didn’t see any pop in on the ps5 showcase and I really wanted the XSX
These are my theories on lack luster graphics.
Supporting older generation Xbox one consoles. Extra development time and optimization has to go into making sure the game runs on the previous generation. (Let’s be honest most of Halo Infinites sales will be on Xbox One since that is the console in most people’s living rooms already.)
4k + 60 fps + Ray Tracing?
Not positive whether or not ray tracing was used in the demo but if it was that is hogging a lot of resources. Additionally rendering the game at 4k and maintaining constant 60 fps is difficult even on a powerful RTX graphics card. I’m positive that corners had to be cut to achieve this. I think a more realistic goal would have been 1440p or 1600p @ 60fps. Pushing native 4k visuals is just not worth it especially if your texture quality is lower. 1600p + checker board upscaling would have freed up a lot resources for extra environment detail and *cough texture memory *cough
They should just upscale 1080p60. Nobody asked for 4k.
Its just funny to me that Microsoft didn’t support the xbox one with triple A games but now that the new console is coming all of a sudden wants to support it and hold back the XSX it makes no sense
I had to go and look again and the pop in was just clouds which was disappointing but I did notice pop in on sonys gran turismo so I guess that’s just gonna be the norm no matter how powerful the console is which is also disappointing

Watch when chief turns the Warthog around the ship debris (before approaching the jump). You can see some small boulders and grass pop-in

I’m not the type to be picky or anything when it comes to graphics, but people will bully the franchise if it doesn’t have dedicated 4k. My friends already make fun of me for still being able to stand anything bellow it.
