Hello everyone. I created a very short, 5–10min survey that asks a few questions about how you feel about 343, Halo 5 and the general direction of Halo. I posted a thread a couple of days ago that inspired me to create this poll.
You should be able to see everyone else’s results after the end of the survey to compare if you’re actually the majority or in the minority of those who took the survey. Good luck and have fun!
Edit: It seems I have omitted TMCC from the multiplayer question (question 4 I believe). Just use H2A as TMCC to judge the multiplayer of that game. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I’ll start and add onto why I chose what I chose. I personally gave 343 low marks all around while praising the classic Halo experience exclusively due to the fact that I don’t like that 343 is changing the overall formula of Halo just to have some “originality” of themselves and an “identity”.
What I think they’re doing is destroying the overall originality and identity of Halo, and its population numbers will continue to show that (sources: HaloTracker, Major Nelson). Halo 3 managed to hold ~250k+ players well after its launch. Halo 4… well, only 400k+ after launch and after TWO days of release, the new CoD came out and cut that population in a little more than half. Then 2 to 3 months after launch, Halo 4 continues its sharp decline until it’s only able to sustain ~15k to 20k players on daily. I believe the same thing that happened with Halo 4, will happen with Halo 5.
Therefore, I will neither be preordering NOR purchasing Halo 5: Guardians. This will be the 1st main Halo title I won’t bother doing both with. I don’t have faith in 343; I will keep following the forums and Halo news, and I wish them the best of luck trying to keep up the same “CoD-ification” of Halo and expecting different results.

Thank you! I hope for the same, too. I want to consolidate as many of the differing opinions of the Halo community as much as possible because due to the past thread, it seems to me that this community gets more and more fractured.
I took the survey too. It’s currently split 50/50 between pre-ordering and purchasing and not pre-ording and not purchasing.Thats about all I got from it.
To be honest the number of people who have done this poll make the data so unreliable not much can be taken from this. But so far it seems the community is completely split almost 50/50 on loving it or absolutely hating it so much they will probably not look twice at halo 6.
Whoever said they will preorder is a moron. NOBODY should EVER preorder. Its bad for the consumer because Devs then think they can release broken games after already taking your money.

I’ve pre-ordered every Halo game to date…and mind you Halo games are about the only thing I’ve pre-ordered other then Assassins Creed, and Pokemon games.
Also calling everyone a moron that did it is unnessecary.

Yea I can’t take OP seriously when I read “CoD-ification” of Halo. 343 did not try to copy CoD, because there were both in development at the same time. Also, it’s more likely Sledgehammer copied the dash from Halo 4. Some people are way too ignorant.
Seriously considering this to be the 1st Halo that I just may rent, or buy a used copy. I’m not paying full price for a game that could potentially not work and/or have missing content at launch. Not again, I am on edge more than ever before. No more scams or excuses, you’ll either get less of my money, all of it, or none. That aside, I need to see more from this game after the beta, which I’m sure more will be revealed in months to come.

I just got done with my survey on it. I will say that I hope 343i takes a good hard look at the community that they split up and think long and hard as to why it is the way it is. Fool me once when they said Halo 4 was returning to it’s roots. Fool me twice when they said the multiplayer in the MCC was going to be fantastic. Halo 5 is so far off the edge from where it should be going…

if you check on facebook, youtube, reddit, teambeyond, halotracker, twitch, aclpro, adversitygaming, haloforum, twitter. every forum and point of discussion is mixed at best, many quite negative. this is the official website, i’m telling you now, the reception only gets worse from here.
