I honestly haven’t a clue at this point, so I’m not answering. However, I want it to have one. I don’t see of any downsides, and I know plenty of people want one.
The poll shouldn’t be yes or no, it should be do you WANT a service record
@GusTank04 I dont want to know if YOU want it. I want to know if you think 343 will add it. Service records have been standard in every Halo game.
If you look at industry trends then no, we will not be getting service records, at least public ones anyway.
companies see them as promoting toxic behaviour, looking at someones stats before a game to talk trash and taunt someone etc.
I do hope we at least get private stats, having to go to 3rd party sites to track that stuff is annoying.
if Tracker Network can pull this data and put together a pretty decent Service record, then I don’t see why 343 cant. Im no coder or artist, but it seems like a flip of a switch.
Maybe they’re working on a far more in-depth record, with weapon breakdowns and heatmaps – among other things?
I hope so, I’d love to see my stats like they used to do in previous games.
But I won’t get my hopes up.
bad players say no, good players say yes

Seeing a negative k/d hurts millennials feelings. So no they won’t give us a service record but they did give us cat ears… cat ears. Wtf.
Should? - Definitely
Will? - Not a clue
If you don’t want em, then the cat ears ain’t for you, bub. I’ll take em though.
On topic though it does seem to be an industry trend to keep stats private to discourage the trash talking, but I really hope they at least let us have a way to check our OWN stats. Heck, even if it’s just cumulative medals, I’d love to see how many times I’ve gotten Kongs and Hail Maries overall
It’s hard to tell what 343 will do, look at the game they gave us
This is what I was thinking. And if its true, thats pretty sad how sensitive people are.
