We all saw that brief glimpse of Locke confronting Jul with Halsey behind him as blood spills out of Jul. At in Episode 2 of the Sprint, Halsey is talking with Lasky, Palmer, and Roland about Chief. Now, does this mean that Locke ends up killing Jul? Or will they capture him?
My ideal situation would be for Jul to be subdued by Osiris, and then for the Arbiter and his Elites take him into custody. I don’t think Jul should be turned over to humans, he should be judged for his crimes by his own people.
…of course, that would be my ideal. At this point the situation could go either way. :\

Very good idea, he’s a Sangheili, he should face Sangheili justice.
I don’t really care about Jul. He’s not a good villain in my opinion. Let him die.
Because of how far this Halo is looking to go and the fact that there will be a Halo 6, I’m going to assume that some bad guy is gonna live from this, might as well be Jul instead of having another “mystery of the galaxy” show up again.
I really don’t want him to die but at the same time it’s probably better then what both the UNSC and SoS plan to do with him if he’s captured. He’s seen the true horrors of ONI, his wife killed, and far more. I’m glad that the one thing Karen Traviss got right in Kilo-Five was 'Jul Mdama.
Although Jul has played a already major role in the Halo franchise based off of 343i’s illustration, they probably are going to kill him off, most featured characters (such as Locke, Palmer, Jul, etc.) end up missing or dying and not coming back at least not for a while, and when they do its only for a brief moment of time before they end up dieing or leaving again haha. But who knows, I’m gonna go with him dying.
Well, the fact that Halsey was on the ship with Laskey and Roland and Palmer makes it confusing. That scene takes place at around mission three. Because that’s when Laskey says his line about Chief being declared absent without leave, and I’m assuming that the E3 mission was the first time we play as Locke and his team, which would be…mission three? Idk. I’m so confused. Because we’ve been told that before they hunt for chief they speak with the Arbiter first

I agree. This is why I wanted (and am getting) the other spartan II’s. I want lore from the books to tie in and actually work towards something in the games for once. Brand new something something keeps cropping up and I just don’t care. I want to know if My spartan II’s are okay. Or if we can find remnants of Kurt, stuff like that.
I think this would have done better as, “How will Jul die?”

Probably, but I hope he won’t die.
Well we know for a fact he is atleast injured, but perhaps Halsey does something to save him resulting in herself being captured by locke.
I hope if anyone kills/captures him it’s the Arbitor.
I don’t want him to die :’(
I feel like Team Osiris will kill him, just to show the player how strong they are.
Jul was a pain in the bottom for the Spartans in Spartan Ops so it could really show us how strong Team Osiris is if are first mission with them is to hunt and kill Jul, Locke is an assassin after all right?
I’m not sure, maybe? I was wondering the same thing, but he’s sort of the best villain that’s going for the Halo universe right now, so id be worried if he did just like that.
one thing I know is that I’d love to see a good banter between him and Thel, a meaningful one that sort of calls Thels’ alliance with Oni into question a bit.

No, those lines leading up to the E3 stage demo are a montage of clips taken from throughout the game to create a snap shot as to what that mission is all about. They specifically mention that in sprint.
I hope not, they need to build on characters instead of just killing them all off. Jul has a justified backstory IMO, hope he lives.
Judging by that clip of Locke trashing his leg with his combat knife, I’d say Jul is toast.
They’ve already said that his faction is crumbling and he’s starting to lose it (mentally). It seems fitting for the captain to go down with the ship, in a manner of speaking.

Where is this stated that Jul is starting to lose it mentally? The only thing I see is that some of the more religious members are starting to think anyone who follows Jul is crazy. This points to Jul not being mental, but just not “acting right”. You know, since he isn’t really religious? Maybe He let it slip that he wasn’t religious and that’s why the faction could be crumbling.
