To not screw up the locking of the map packs? Does anybody truly believe, that after all of the fiasco and ineptitude that has occurred that Season Pass and LE owners will go unfazed on the 18th?
I am stating the prediction now, that the “Problems we are aware of and working on” thread is bombarded by people who have purchased the Season Pass or LE version and have had their Crimson maps re-locked.

I would not be surprised at all if something happens to some LE owners, pass owners, people who bought it for 800 and some get locked out of their content.
It honestly would be kind of hilarious to see another mess up.
my guess is all the people who bought the Map Pass will be locked out of Crimson DLC. we will have to wait for a special code sent to us between Dec 19th-20th. we will not get it. we will wait til mid Jan when the new map pack is released to get Crimson then we will all be mistakenly banned and have to wait until mid feb. to be unbanned. I can see this happening. no screw up from 343i is beyond my belief at this point.

You may be right, I’m not very neutral, but I’m also wondering what everyone else thinks. I’m not going to flame anybody for disagreeing, if anything, the poll is more of an attempt to gain attention to solve a problem before it occurs. It’s unlikely, I know, but hey. What else do I have to do today?

Haha… Same here I guess. I work in IT in a very large company and i know we
could get an issue like this fixed in 6 days. So i’ll give them the benefit of the doubt…

So we are supposed to believe that they can, with great accuracy, be able to pinpoint who got the map packs for free and who paid for them? They can’t even give everybody a Specialization Code, what makes us think that they can do this properly?
Food for thought, if they are able to pinpoint accurately who got the maps free and who didn’t, why the problems with numerous people STILL not receiving the Specialization Codes? Where are your priorities 343i/Microsoft?
at the rate things are going I wouldn’t be surprised if when dec 18th hits there will be people claiming they own the map pass and their maps were removed.

It will be taken away online and offline. Right now if you delete the alpha priority download from your hard drive and try to play the crimson pack it recognizes you have it but say it is unable I validate it. I expect a similar message web this trial expires. And you do get that message regardless if if you are on live I not, so unless you do not connect to live again you are out I luck.
