[POLL] Which 343 era game modes do you like?

Isn’t that the only version?

All warzone games. Just because they offered so many different opportunities and was F2P friendly. RNG wasn’t that much of a problem and 343i constantly updated the balancing with bosses, weapons and loadouts to make it fun. I don’t know why they didn’t just make Warzone the F2P standalone game.

I also enjoyed Breakout in Halo 5. So much more sweaty than elimination and intense with its personal map designs. I love how they had so many separate maps JUST for it as well… even though I barely ever played it. I just respected the mode a lot for being unique.

Total Control in Infinite is probably my other favorite mode they made. I really was able to force a fight and cause some havoc in specific areas. It also offered legit comebacks. Its not really any different than other modes but for Infinite, its good for its own game.

Probably a really better mode than all the other ones with how much more random things are, you can literally screw anyone up with just a plasma pistol variant.

It would also be a good way to tide over campaign players if there really is no story content planned. They’d just have to throw a mini plot together (or add one from the books into the games) that relates to the season and then make it playable on the multiplayer map.

I liked warzone but didn’t vote for it since it was based on the req system, which was terrible and the enemy AI was dumb, as is they could be ignored, they didn’t navigate the maps and actually attack well anything. Had Warzone been based off Dominion style play, the enemy AI smart and aggressive and not so predictable about when and where they spawned… They would have had an epic multiplayer experience. But dominion was their best btb game type… Ricochet was awesome it just came to late for most to notice… a lot like husky raid which should be on the list.

LOVE Ricochet, and I’m honestly surprised it didn’t attract the competitive community. It probably didn’t help that it was only H4 and loadouts ruined every thing. I think it would’ve been great to see it in H5 with Breakout-styled maps.

Husky Raid was created by a forger during Reach, gained traction during H4, and finally added to an official playlist during H5. 343 didn’t invent the mode, which is what this list is about. However, 343’s acknowledgment of Husky did allow more people to create new maps for the mode, some of which really pushed the definition of “Husky Raid”. They basically cultivated a new mode without actually making a new mode, if that makes sense.

tl;dr: You can totally vote husky raid, since 343 is more associated with it than Bungie

Say what you want, Dominion was the GOAT!

When I was on Reach, me and my friends used to play this gamemode where you’d build a base on Forge world whilst your friends built their own bases. After the budget was gone, we’d fight it out. New and unique battles every time.

Dominion recaptured that idea. Now you could break down shield walls to attack, dodge enemy turrets, and capture their base. Or, you could defend the base by building turrets, walls or spawning in vehicles. It was so much fun!!

I didn’t realize husky raid was in reach. I mainly stuck to btb in reach.

No, there is normal fiesta which only has the base weapons without variants, and then there is super fiesta which has everything.

Sorry, let me clarify. Isn’t super fiesta only in halo 5?

Halo 4’s Dominion and Ricochet are by far my favorite game modes to ever be on Halo.

Of course, classic team slayer and team objective are legendary but I found the most joy in those two first playlists.

I also enjoyed playing Infection with my family and friends to be much more casual and calm… well until you’re the last one standing! :astonished:

Yeah it was a great mode. Personally, I think it needed some unique maps and a few balance changes, but it’s pretty much the closest thing we got to Invasion (that or Warzone)

The forge who made it technically made it in Reach, but like I said, it didn’t gain popularity until H4 when 343 added it to the action sack playlist rotation. So it’s a 343 era gamemode in spirit.

i liked super fiesta in H5, all the req weapons made it extremely chaotic and i loved it.

Land Grab is the best new gamemode by far. Still waiting for classic koth and for oddball to be reverted to being a single round gametype. 3 rounds of oddball is easily the worst gametype change to ever happen in Halo.

Worst than whatever they did to KotH?

Infinity Slayer > that entire list. How did you neglect to include Halo 4 in “343 era”

It’s just slayer. Not a new mode that 343 invented. The only difference is the ordinance drops which can be used in most modes in Halo 4. And included plenty of modes from Halo 4 on my list.

I’m glad you like Infinity Slayer though. It had some good moments.

Super Fiesta (and its variants) and Castle Wars in H5 were probably the most fun I’ve had with a 343 Halo.

Castle Wars was the GOAT
