Poll: vote on the changes you like

Note 1: To vote on the changes you dislike, go to the other poll:

https://forums.halo.xbox.com/yaf_postst116363_Vote-on-the-changes-you-dislike.aspx

Note 2: You can vote for many choices.

Note 3: The poll is set to expire in 30 days, before the game is out. I plan to get the same poll up 1 month after the game is released, and so we can compare before and after.

Q & A

Q: Why are you creating 2 polls?

A: When somebody votes “like”, he is an endorser of the change. When somebody votes “dislike”, he is a doubter of the change. The reason of having 2 polls is to give both endorsers and doubters equally strong voices.

Flood Mode!! Best change ever. Especially for Infection.

But for the Poll, I voted for Sprint as Default. This allows faster paced gameplay, which is always me gusta.

Hitmarker.

clicked on all.

none, lolololololol
I think Halo would have survived without those things :stuck_out_tongue: But that’s just me, no hate please lol

but if I have to choose it is either killcams or AA’s.

Sprint and custom tailored loadouts

I LOVE ALL THE CHANGES

AA’s

As much as I hate them, it seems as though the time was put in to make them better than their flawed siblings from reach.

Where’s the all of them option.

> Where’s the all of them option.

To do that just click on everyone of them. This poll allows votes of more than one choices.

I like the sprint option. I never liked slowly moving across a map in Halo 3 then getting sniped when I finally get near my destination. I think it speeds up the game and helps the multiplayer flow better.

So far 108 people voted on like poll, and 50 people on dislike poll ( https://forums.halo.xbox.com/yaf_postst116363_Vote-on-the-changes-you-dislike.aspx ):

Sprint: 18% like (most), only 4% dislike.
Very positive views on this change. Looks like the community is not too concerned about this as long as the weapon sandbox and maps are designed with this in mind.

Custom loadouts: 12% like, 0% dislike.
Very positive views on this change. This has virtually no downside, give players freedom to choose their favorite weapon.

AA: 13% like, 2% dislike.
Very positive views on this change. Was a huge concern after Reach’s failed attempts, but it looks like 343 put a lot of thoughts into it to keep them not OP while useful. Also, it adds a new “rock-paper-scissor” dimension to the game.

Tactical/support package & Armor mod: 6% like, 12% dislike
Very negative views on this change. It does not appear to be as well-thoughtout as AAs and some of them look quite OP

Hitmarker: 10% like, 4% dislike
Positive views on this change, but not much. This change is not making much difference to game play, because in Halo we already have strong visual cues of player lighting up when got hit.

Grenade indicator: 6% like, 8% dislike
Negative views on this change. It makes the game a bit more noob friendly. Coupled with grenades being nerfed in general, in H4 the grenades will be significantly less useful.

Removal of de-scope: 7% like, 14% dislike
Very negative views on this change. Another one viewed as making the game more noob friendly.

CTF - auto pickup: 6% like, 14% dislike
Very negative views on this change. Players want to have choice.

CTF - committed carrier: 6% like, 34% dislike
The king of the unpopular decision made by 343. Completely changed how CTF will be played.

Killcam: 12% like, 8% dislike
Split view on this one. Pros: provide players with clues of how they are killed. Cons: take away some stealth element from the game.

I like Hitmarkers, Grenade Indicators, and Custom Loadouts alot. I’m also liking the Ordinance Drop system.

I like the idea for the Final Kill Cam but I Dont like the idea of someone Always being able to see me and how i killed them… what if i had like a sneaky strategy or sniping spot. Kinda ruins that for me…

same here!

Hitmarker and sprint are the only 2 changes I’m really liking at this point, but that’s because these are the changes that sound best on paper. When I have the game in my hands, I may come to appreciate the other changes more.
