POLL: The Jetpack is game breaking in Halo 4

The Jetpack in Halo 4 breaks just about every map. Just like the Jetpack broke every map in Halo Reach.

So I was playing Halo 4 the other night and came across a game where the whole other team had Jetpacks. They would run to the top of the map and just Jetpack over the top of our spawn and they kepted on spawn killing us over and over. A full team of Jetpackers using ARs spamming nades, etc. Everyone that joined my team kept quitting due to the other team abusing the OP Jetpack in halo 4.

They removed Armor Lock from Halo 4, why keep a AA that breaks map gameplay like the Jetpack. Dont seem like they nerfed it at all for Halo 4.

So my plee here is that the Jetpack to be nerfed more or just removed from Halo 4 all together. JiP can go to even though I like having full teams.

It just seems like it makes a bigger problem then its trying to fix…

Frankly that’s surprising since the Jetpack was nerfed tremendously since Halo 3. LOL I SAID HALO 3 BY MISTAKE MY BAD YA’LL

It’s more of like a Jump and a half than a true Jetpack in H4. I haven’t seen anyone really using it effectively except people on Haven standing under the cracks and jetpacking upwards to escape.

No.

There is no Jetpacks in Halo 3…

Even if you took the Jetpacks out, them spawn campers will find another way to ruin your experience

I personally like the jetpack as it makes movement more tactical and saves walking for AGES to find a ramp to get up to certain areas. It feels nerfed compared to Reach’s jetpack, doesn’t hold as much juice as it used to. I like that.

ODST…Reach… whatever it was XD

No. It broke maps in Reach but is more of a jumppack in Halo 4. I absolutely hated the jetpack in Reach. It doesn’t bother me in Halo 4. Invis campers bug me in Halo 4.

Err… The reason all 4 of them killed you while jetpacking from spawn is known as…

Strategy.

Seems like you just got wrecked by a party and need something to vent about.

It doesn’t make movement not tactical. It makes it lazy. Also, what you stated is why people say it’s broken. It ruins map control because people just fly all willy nilly and lob grenades onto the high ground you took. It breaks it even more on maps like haven, adrift and abandon where controlling the top or the map usually means you’ll win. Back in halo 3, you fought for the high grand and then fought to keep it. Now people just say I’m not talking the hight ground. What’s the point.

It doesnt take skill nor is it close to being called a Strategy. I look at it more like abusing a bug or glitch. My opinion is that the Jetpack in Halo 4 breaks map gameplay.

also not in ODST. You don’t really know what you’re talking about, do you…

Jetpack started in Halo Reach and carried over to Halo 4 with a “nerf.” Its still needs some work or just removed.

^this. I loathed Jetpackers in Reach but it’s my go to AA in this game. Camo campers should by doused in gasoline and set on fire, they’re so cheesy.

The “ODST… Reach…” was a joke you moron. I mistakenly said Halo 3 instead of Reach.

But this isn’t Halo 3, people keep moaning and moaning about things happening on Halo 4 and say “Oh Halo 2 blah blah” “But in Halo 3 yak yak yak”. What is the point of making new Halo games if there isn’t change? Do you want ANOTHER CoD then? Yeah sure they took some ideas from CoD and changed it to fit into Halo (which is better imo).

Adapt. And. Survive.

If you want what you experienced in Halo CE/2/3, go play them.

So … You are telling me that a full team of jet pack users rushed you in the air (easiest headshot you could ask for), with AR’s, and your team got slaughtered? Get better?

Nothing new here. Just the jetpack doing what it was since Reach. Break maps…

Had a guy fly over the top spawn of Abandoned every time. That was very annoying. As if the map didn’t already give you the highground 24/7.

If I could play halo 2 I would play that instead.
