Buck and the Gravemind would’t be specific to “hardcore fans” because they’ve been in games. Mendez has already shown up so there’s no reason to lose our mind over him. I don’t think it’s the precursor just cause we haven’t met many of them. Leaving Mendicant Bias and the Iso-Didact. I see. However, I do think that kind of dilutes the drama from the end of Halo 3 (my favorite character death). He had to choose between the ring or saving the galaxy from the flood. One way, he would break his commitment to the ring for not protecting it. The other, he would break his commitment to the ring for negating its purpose: allowing the flood to win. I loved this part! I keep going over Nathan Fillion in my head, but I also want it to be Mendicant Bias.
