true, but you do for everything in 3. In Infinite the weapons across the board work differently. They’re almost all more efficient.
It’s not shallow lol it’s fact. AR starts are boring it take very little skill. There’s no dance like there is with slower ROF weapons. Nothing about AR starts is great. I’d rather have halo 5 pistol starts all over again instead of ARs.
I land plenty of shot BTW, look up my stats on halo tracker (realized that they removed them all like a year ago) but you’ll realize I have a very well versed opinion.
I’ve played halo since CE lan parties, played a ridiculous amount of h2 before it died to modding, played halo 3 like crazy, got inheritor in halo reach, no lifed halo 4 (lesser skill gap but enjoyed it), reached 152 in halo 5, played mcc like crazy early on and now barely play infinite because of how bare bones it is. It’s sad.
I’ve main’d halo my whole life, nothing else has gotten close to it imo. Halo infinite was supposed to revive halo. It has so many issues but it’s so close to classic halo and that’s the appeal as to why it did well early on. But it needs work, AR starts in every game mode besides ranked is not halo, especially in btb.
I’m sorry I was kind of expecting you to explain why you think BR starts are better, but it looks to me like you’re just saying your opinion is more important.
I love the AR, always have, and I’m very happy that for the first time in years it’s a practical, usable weapon. I think it’s perfect for BTB, because you can’t kill people from across the map with it. If you give everyone BRs, the highly skilled players are just going to sit in their base and wait for the lower skilled players to come running around the corner, and pick them off until they win. THAT’s boring. The BR is too effective to give to players on spawn, you want them to go out into the field and find cool weapons to grab. If you give them BRs, a lot of weapons you find aren’t worth using because that BR outclasses them. You say AR starts isn’t Halo, I say it’s more Halo than BR starts has ever been.

I’m not even very good at the game and I feel like I’m committing war crimes every time I break the 50 yard line of the map and start spawn killing. Nobody leaves the bases except vehicles and players smart or good enough to use ranged weapons effectively against people trying to run around with just an AR

What I understand is that this indeed already happens, but to a significantly lesser degree than it would with BR starts.

If this game gets BRs it will effectively become a worse version of halo 3 in literally every way. There’s no way anyone would want to play this instead of halo 3 if that happens.

I didn’t say my opinion was “more important.”. I said it’s valid. Also here we go again with the lame excuses that “BR is bad and doesn’t make you move around the map”. Dude every weapon besides power ups and power weapons SUCK.
Did you not play halo 2 or 3? To say that nobody moves around the map or picks up different weapons is solely not true and total bs. Shoot even reach you spawned with the DMR which was insanely more OP from range and guess what “everyone still grabbed weapons and move around the map”.
Im just going to assume that you didn’t play classic halo much because almost every one started with precision weapons. Yeah some had gamemodes that had smg or AR starts but the core fanbase then hated it.
Your arguments are not true in the slightest or else halo would have died back in the day. Would you rather competitive have AR starts too, you know how boring that is yo watch?

What you said makes no sense. If you have BR starts then you have a chance off spawn. If the other team has all the precision weapons and power weapons with AR starts then you’re screwed.
