POLL - How much would you pay per item type?

I made a post trying to determine the values of each shop item, though it didn’t pick up interest, so I never bothered with helmets and attachments, or getting deeper into Epic and Legendary inflation per item. Since I think Epic and Legendary rarity is complete BS false inflation, especially on literally the color white, I’d pay at most my base guess value for each item individually, if I could buy items individually.

Dude. Why not make a poll asking what people would want in certain prices bundles? It’d be some good info to learn.

Honestly? I didn’t think of it I was just trying to throw a list together of what I thought would best fit each price point bundle. I would love to make a poll but that will be a severely long poll / list I’ll have to type up.

That went out the window when they made the game free to play. I certainly wish there were earnable armor though. Not everything needs to be tied to the battle-pass or store.

Honestly the weapons bits are way too innocuous to even warrant spending any cash on.

When I saw that feature in the weapon bench I thought for certain it was going to have various models of the weapon to unlock/purchase, the baubles we got just aren’t worth it.

I thought the weapon cores would make them look like previous weapons. So the BR could have a 2/3/4/5 style etc.

Everything should be $1-5. EVERYTHING

The correct answer is that we should be sold packs at a total of $10.

As in “Here is a new armor core. You unlock it by default once added to the game BUT you can buy all the cosmetics for $10. Other cosmetics will be available through the battlepasses and event passes, but $10 to buy all the stuff that is not included in those progression lineups.”

Now something like this I can really get behind. Too bad they’d lose out on a crap ton of money from the shop and it comes into question what about when stuff gets added? Is it included in the $10 or is it more each season?

$10 baseline price for all the cosmetics that wouldn’t be included in the battle-pass. Meaning each season would still get new stuff, as well as new events giving us more things; but $10 for like 8 helmets, 12 shoulders, 6 chests, 2 wrists, 1 alt-gloves, 3 knee-guards, and 2 utilities would be fine by me.

Would’ve preferred an option to include less than a dollar, as I’d rather pay about 50p for items. All of this used to be included in the price of a game anyway – retroactively making Reach an even greater amazing value for money.

As it is, the one I chose in most cases was the $1-$4, and the rest, I chose Free.

Okay I said Free for things like AI, stances, emblems, effects- These should be final tier rewards in a battle pass or event pass or even just leveling up rewards. A $20 AI and a $20 pink snail trail. $40 for pink trail and a mister chief AI.
No. No no no.
If anything sell an armor set (IN PIECES, NOT A KIT, but as a set) for $10-$15.
Unlock chromas, emblems, tertiary stuff that people just cannot be bothered by completing challenges or achievements.
The solution is not to ‘let them be able to buy everything’.

But the REQ packs are earnable like you said, which is what got you your weapons and armor, so it IS earnable. Just random.

Alright thanks.
Post must be at least 20 characters.

Customization was always free save for a very very small amount of items. Free across the bored on stuff we already had. Armor kits are the exception for me where selling those for 5$ isn’t bad. I wouldn’t be against armor patterns being sold separately as well, but 343i isn’t going to budge and instead keep on selling us colors.

This was a really cool idea but the general sentiment is people want things for free or some things at unreasonably low prices, and the poll shows this. Tbh they should sell whole armor sets for 10-20 As a bundle, effects and attachment for 5-10 and colors and visors should be 1-4. And armor kits should be able to accept accessories and have thier coatings the the very least be usable on other armor in that core.

I grew up in an era when we would make our own skins, or dl them from community websites, and use them in-game for free. OR they were made to earn in-game as rewards (just like cheat codes used to be).

I’ll never consider spending money on cosmetics. What the gaming industry has done in this regard is insidious.

First I will say I would rather earn my cosmetics via in game play, whether it be grinding out xp or my personal favorite getting achievements. But when it comes to purchasing cosmetics they all should be under a dollar honestly. I could make am exception for special stuff like perhaps HCS stuff which funds tournaments or maybe even special voices for stuff as maybe the voice people get a cut of the sales… But all these other things like the cat ears, colors, or the charm thing that hangs from the weapons… All should be true “microtransactions” and cost under a dollar. To me there is nothing micro about the Infinite store prices. Oh and if you bought he campaign you should have been given say 6000 credits to spend in the store as well IMO.

Really interesting that we mostly picked 10-14 dollars for full suits of armor. That really shows us where the community’s priorities lie.

What tempts me to buy items is the rarity and really the obscurity. For example, when those cat ears dropped I was like “really?” but at the same time found it so funny because we are supposed to be these tough Spartans, yet we are rocking some Razer cat ears. Just little things like that I would spend money on, not another shade of a color that we already have, honestly that is so dumb.
