Lately it seems like posts focusing on complaining about halo 4 are on the rise…
I for one, do not like the negativity associated with the complaints, and wish they would just STOP!
I’m curious how many people actually enjoy seeing the complaints and/or making their complaints known by posting them on the forums.
I suspect this thread may be moved or locked, but I’m going to ask the moderators to please leave it here since this is in direct relation to the complaints being posted here.
My goal is not to cause any trouble, but to see if I’m truly part of the minority who doesn’t like the constant complaining.
Thanks.
Complaining about complainers isn’t the right way to go about stopping them.
People are complaining because they love Halo and they don’t like what happened to X feature/thing in-game and they want that to change for Halo 4 or for future titles.
Without people complaining/giving feedback, then Halo 4 would be in a much worst state than it already is.
Its true people complain ALOT on these forums, but we have good reason.
The community can and should complain if we don’t like the features of the game, and we should complain even more when 343 refuses to fix most of them. It shows we still care about Halo and we have something to lose when 343 doesn’t deliver on the promises they made.
FWIW, the red-x being implemented was a direct result of the community complaining on the forums.
I appreciate your feedback, and I agree. But I also think there is a fine line between constructive criticism and bashing. Seems like bashing is all I see.
I know this won’t change anything, but I’m curious nonetheless…
Depends how people complain, if they just say “343 sucks!!!1!!1!1!” or “Halo is ruined forever WTF 343??!!!?” or hell I’ve even seen straight up Death Threats to 343i
If you complain like “Ok X is a problem so we can do Y to fix it” It’s a bit more helpful to see what people want fixed

Agreed… And THAT I could live with. Lol. Bashing = bad. You’ll never get the fixes you want if you’re rude about it.
I have my own grievances, but I have never outright bashed on 343 because of them. Lol. But I’ve never posted anything about my own grievances either, so I guess there’s no hope for me to get my fixes in halo 5. Haha.
i feel the complaints on the forums are disappearing…
> i feel the complaints on the forums are disappearing…
guess why? Ive stopped playing because they dont seem interested in fixing their game.
We have damn good reasons for complaining when they take an adored series like halo and throw it in the gutter. They f ed up and lost 370000 players in the first couple months.
Then they actually started listening and fixing stuff and adding stuff. And i was happy and thanked them.
I was ecstatic for the weapon update and it went flawlessly.
However as per 343 fashion they HAD to ruin something else. The casualty was the power weapon and vehicle spawns that were changed to under a minute. Now Slayer is no more - Halo 4 is just a Fiesta/Heavies mashup and I WILL not tolerate it.
So, with that mistake they fixed the weapons but RUINED the maps. Coupled with camo, instaspawn and ordinance the game is worse than ever.
And that was the last straw for me and my friends
So my favorite experience from Bungie has been trashed. Im livid.
If you dont complain how are they going to now what they did wrong? I tried. But its not worth it anymore. Im done.
Far cry 3 is 100x the game Halo 4 is btw. Been playing that and am so glad i stopped playing this mess.

I dunno man… I just saw at least 3 new threads started in the last 12 hours focused on complaining. And the only one I bothered to look at said “you suck 343!” It doesn’t look like they are disappearing to me… Lol.
There’s a difference between “constructive criticism” and “you should add x feature” or “you should make x change,” where x is an idea that sounds good on paper, but in practicality would completely break the game.

I feel like that is only a problem b/c of Personal Ordinance.

Which is why some people get so angry when they suggest something the community agrees on. You never know what goes on behind the scenes. 343 may have attempted to do some of the stuff suggested on the forums but it just breaks the game to the point where it isn’t worth the risk.

Problem is people only post in the mindless ramblings/hate threads. Nobody cares and keeps the conversation going in legit smart threads on how to improve the game. I gave up on making threads that were constructive long ago because people would rather yell at trolls or complain about people complaining.

In that case, I invite you to post your input here (as long as its constructive criticism). I’d gladly discuss potential game improvements in an intelligent fashion. I urge everyone to keep the discussion friendly though… Again, I’m not trying to cause trouble, so at the first sign of a heated bashing-session I’ll be the first person to report it to a moderator (even if my own thread gets locked because of it).
Someone started a thread which was exactly what I was hoping for… A pros/cons list and a more constructive environment for criticisms of halo 4.
I’m saying this to both spread the word and bump my own thread…
I hate it.
Now I know someone will mention its needed which I understand it is as all games have problems. But when you see the same thing everyday at least a few times that’s when its stupid.
Surely when people make a thread complaining about the game they see one a bit further down the page?

Bang on target.
If you have a problem with Halo 4, I’m ok with it as long as you have some sort of idea which you can suggest to fix the problem
Example: The weapon spawn times, maybe they can change the spawn times on maps, release it on a bulletin, let us test the gametype, if we think any potential fixes need to be made, we’ll have a post made by 343i to comment in, and if it needs to be reworked again the process will continue
Yes! Repeated posts complaining about the same things are annoying! Especially the bash-fests which offer no ideas for fixes…
I like to call it “bash-spamming”
I think a lot of people complain (including myself) because they care. They don’t want Halo to continue on the downward slope that it has been on and would like to see some improvement.
