Simple yes or no
I enjoy the feel of the DMR although I will admit that getting kills with the current DMR mechanics is too easy.
They need to make it harder, and give more incentive to zoom in with the scope. Thanks to bullet magnetism and no punishment when spamming the trigger at similar ranges with other rifles, the gun is too easy.
I’d like to use more guns, but I’d rather not since this gun is much easier to use overall.
If its has the same mechanics then no.
The DMR is a Halo mainstay now, get used to it.
A different question is if 343i will make it more of a niche weapon next time around, because a lot of people are getting worked up and frustrated due to its status as a utility weapon that works in most situations in H4.
I just “mastered” it yesterday, now I must learn to play at a slight disadvantage to get that BR commendation

i don’t mind, i use almost all the precision weps anyway.

I like them, they give me a sense of accomplishment. I don’t really go for the armor ones, but that’s just because I’m like you. Pre-ordered at Bestbuy, so I already have the coolest helmet in the game
no. br carbine and lightrifle are more than enough assault rifles for one game. plus iv got the br commendation done and dmr will probably be done in the next game then im off to work on the carbine which already has a couple hundred kills. also. again. no dmr.

Probably because it’s not balanced.

I don’t care about it being balanced. I want to use the best gun in the game so I’ll use the DMR. If they changed things and the BR is better I’ll switch to that.

Best does not equal balance. If the DMR’s situation is because people prefer to use the gun due to the way it works compared to the others, it would be a different story.
People are using it because the other 3 are having a harder time beating the DMR in similar ranges. Beats the whole “custom loadout” if people are afraid of using another gun because of a disadvantage.

It sure doesn’t stop anyone I run into. Either tons of people are working on their BR commendations, or a high percentage of people who play the game don’t know and/or don’t care which gun is “better;” they’re going to use the one they like. That boggles my mind, personally, but that’s neither here nor there. I just wonder to myself wtf people were thinking when some random spread of bullets comes out of nowhere and kills me and the kill cam shows a BR user. I always wonder why on earth they chose that gun.

Unfortunately the DMR is way too beastly. I like it, but man, the thing has ridiculous range and accuracy that is unmatched.
Do I want it back? It doesn’t matter to me.
Will it be back? Of course, taking it out would ruin canon unless they can find a way to legitly explain its disappearance.
The DMR, albeit better than the Reach version, is a disgrace to Halo because it is from Reach-one of many knives stuck in the true Halo’s side.
