It’s alright. I liked Halo Reach Stockpile way more. I only hate Infinite Stockpile in BTB because I’m always doing almost all the work, juggling two or three cores at a time, while my teammates do nothing but pretend that it’s Slayer, or walk one core at a time, so slowly, that we usually lose.
Makes me wish I could betray them or grapple the core out of their hands and run it. Even a bot moves faster than some teammates. So many times I’ll be sitting there waiting at the machine for them to put the last core to win in, and they get killed or the game ends because they were too slow
It’s like playing Grifball or Ricochet, and nobody ever passes the ball to a different teammate when they are about to get killed. There’s never any common sense or teamwork
Voted no. I wish they would remove it or give it a serious rework. It’s just the least fun mode to play the objective and I always feel like you can’t make a difference.
I can be fun when you don’t have people just going off and doing their own things. I would like to see a few changes though, namely involving throwing the Seeds, and using equipment like the repulser to quickly get them all over to your side of the map. It’d be a lot more fun IMO if you couldn’t just do that.
The new BTB map I feel doesn’t do it well though, as the middle ground isn’t really a solid place to engage. Once a seed is on their side of the jump it’s pretty much theirs. If you can get it back you’re pretty dang lucky.
Man, that’s like the only good part about it. If you couldn’t throw the seeds, it would just be 10x worse CTF from Halo 4. You’d never score points with useless teammates
They can throw it, just not as far. Put more emphasis on getting the transport hog and loading up 7 seeds onto it, its only real perk in multiplayer.
I trust Kat to drive better than 90% of my teammates bro I swear. I don’t want anything to do with hopping in a vehicle with randoms. They always flip it, get blown up, hit a wall, or drive off a cliff. Training mode needs a driver’s licence course. I’d be willing to say that people shouldn’t be allowed to drive without passing it, they’re that horrible at driving
I don’t like any of the game modes in BTB except CTF. Slayer is the worst, followed by Total Control, followed by Stockpile.
Stockpile would be way more fun in my opinion if the seeds spawned dispersed throughout the map and it was significantly easier to steal seeds. Then you’d have some real back and forth rather than a large mob fighting in one massive grind.
As it stands, stockpile is just a really big unfun grind that depends greatly on whichever team gets a tank first (while the other team gets a gungoose.) Or whichever team actually has a group of friends on it coordinating and moving all the seeds at once.
Honestly I like it. But really, btb has fallen so far, I rarely enjoy any btb match anymore.
Hate it, this is a mode that 1/4-1/3 of your teammates can’t shoot at the same time. Remove it and amend that stockpile achievement to other criteria, such as grab one flag and so on.
If the stockpile were fusion coils it would be a dope game.

Nah, I’ve actually had the same exact idea. You can actually catch thrown fusion coils and get a medal for it. That would be a super cool mode, if the cores were like hot potato oddball where you die if you hold it too long, or it takes too much damage, it explodes
Get rid of stockpile and bring back classics such as One Flag, Assault, One Bomb, Territories, Neutral Flag.
Do I like Stockpile? Meh, no strong feelings one way or another.
Does Stockpiles existence justify the decision to make a new mode and not just give us assault? Heck no!
Not a huge fan of it but I think it’s more just being bored to tears of the same BTB maps.
Would say yes but my team always treats it & every other BTB objective mode as Slayer so have to vote indifferent.

I has its moments, but it is often 1 team playing the objective while the other runs around aimlessly. Also stockpile isn’t a new mode, Halo Reach had it in 4v4 and it played decently. But more importantly, it allowed for more varied strategies since steal flags didn’t take half a minute.
This is what happens when you make the campaign separate from the MP and don’t put a warthog run in it.
Yeah I love stockpile, it’s really fun.
I like it when it’s a close game but unfortunately all too often a 1-0 lead isn’t ever relinquished. Finding a way to balance that a bit more and it could be a fantastic mode.
I also think a single spawn point is part of the problem, multiple smaller spawns may be better
