Poll: Did you switch to PC for Halo once you heard it was going to PC?

Ha, my first real gaming PC was a Q6600 and 8800GT

Ditto, same specs, built it to run Crysis. Eventually SLI’d it. Was still on an old IDE HDD, hadn’t made the jump to SATA yet cause I was cheap. One of my favorite things to run though was the old Halo CE port Gearbox did. Ran way better than Crysis lol

I literally threw that PC away a few months ago. I held onto it for the longest time. Years ago, had a power outage and power cycle and it fried the mother board. Ever since then, I have all my high priced tech on APC battery backups.

I do the same - got 3x 900W APC units - one for me, one for the wife’s setup, and one for the media room setup. Only get like 5-10 min of power if a game’s running, but it’s enough to bail out and shut down. Recycled my Q6600 setup quite a while ago, but I did recently dig out a GTX 480 to go to Best Buy recycling. Forgot I had that old space heater laying around lol

Yes, it was the better version of mcc at the time. But I’m concerned that the pc version of infinite isn’t as optimized as the console version and that’s why some things are so frustrating

I voted “Yes”. Though ‘switch’ isn’t precise. I am a PC player and never owned an xbox, so if it wasn’t on PC i’d never have played it.

played Halo since Reach, then halo 5, and eventual MCC all on XBOX, for many years, fun yes.
however, once they all (unfortunately except for 5) went over to pc… i really don’t want to play halo again on xbox. i mean, i will if need be. but it’s so much better on pc. be it optimization, and of course the option to use both controller and m&k interchangeably
as for infinite… it’s still better on pc, in terms of controls… but a laughing stock in terms of optimization, unfortunately

I was already PC and now have been for about a year total. I enjoy gaming via PC more, plus I enjoy streaming on Twitch and YT. Much easier this way.

Highest my 3080ti has went was 78c whilst benching on 3d mark, that was it brand new out the box @ default settings.
Funny thing is now after four months use the temp never goes over 67c even when benching with OC, prolly driver related?
But this game runs like -Yoink!- & I have to cap @120fps to avoid crashes lol

Actually seen something the other day with benching on a ddr5 rig, a lot of extra money for 2 extra frames, pretty much scoring within the error of margins & not a real improvement.

Things might get better further down the road with other better hardware & software support but when certain devs that are supposed to be at the pinnacle of AAA gaming cant even eek the best performance from the latest best hardware on their own engines I wouldn’t be in a hurry to upgrade.

I don’t consoles! PERIOD! And Never Have And Never Will!!

I’ve been running low settings with textures set to ultra. I play on a Samsung Neo G9 (5120x1440) and have the resolution scaled to 60%, this gives 240+fps.

Nice results, Here’s mine

Good rig!

I run all on high everything but only have HD res pack on MP as having it on SP in open world causes dips that I notice & don’t like.

Would rather run higher frames as I have a 165hrz Gsync panel & enough grunt to do so but when ever I do run the game higher it crashes, even when I have tried all low settings, think its the memory leak & also certain physics/animations are tied into 120fps max & going above breaks the game, If you think about max frames on the best console, makes sense.
Infinite just another bad port.
