I was going to dl for free (mostly for the extraction game type that was promised and not delivered) but the Map Pack hasnt been free for me all day…
DL was successful, currently in the DLC playlist. Yay me.
I’m not angry that I got a bit ripped off, I think everyone should be happy with their free DLC but… DAMN 343. You f***ed up again I see. At least it’s cutting their profits, yeah? DOWN WITH 343!
I got the map pass but have been suffering ungodly lag. I’m talkin’ 3 sec delay on my punch that ended my spree. I’m talkin’ unloading a whole DMR clip at an unshielded foe without getting a headshot or even a generic kill. I got so pissed it actually gave me a headache! BEWARE anger can cause headaches!..
I’m not sure what happened but I worry for my brain’s health now.

This is what they get for releasing a rushed game and rushed map pack. Maybe if they put some effort into it they would have been fine.

That’s what i was told it was free for a small time…
Bought LE for myself & got a H4 edition console for my wife. Would have DLed the DLC at 0 MS points for her if I’d known about it before they fixed it. No, I’m not pissed peoples got it for free, once upon a time content like this was free majority of the time, you paid for expansion pack discs, which were a complete new campaign with extras like new maps, etc… I say good on all those who got the map pack for free, the way it should be for such content.

That’s 343’s netcode for ya’ son. It’s been killing some of my friends for a while now, and I’ve seen it myself too sometimes. On a multi-MB/s university connection, I shouldn’t get lag, even on a few occasions.
For all those who downloaded it for free, and all those who downloaded via season pass, what steps did you take once in the main menu. I ask because as soon as I clicked the in-game marketplace, I got an immediate pop-up for downloading the map pack, and I’m curious if the people who free-loaded got the same thing, or if it was different.
