I was just wondering what people think about Master chiefs armor look now, because months ago it seemed like everyone thought his armor was changed. Thus I tried to explain otherwise, and now I am just curious if people still think it is a different armor he has, or if more people understand that his armor is just a reworked visual - not an armor change.
They even said it was different, they just haven’t released the story yet. You can read about it here.
It looks more functional now.

I like it and thus do not care about the change they did for anything. However I care about 343i inventing lame stuff to cover the fact they retcon it. Nanotech is the equivalent of space magic in Mass Effect 3. No matter how many you use to cover it is still a retcon/lore issue.

too bulky,uncomfortable, and doesn’t allow armor flexibility?

I believe they said that it was to show that he was damaged in the events in Halo3 - to show the continuation of the story - but I think they even said that in some point of the game he fixes it, but I’m not sure so don’t take my word for it.
I really didn’t give it any thought since most things look slightly different in Halo 4. It’s not even as big a change as the Grunts or Jackals.

And yes they did say it was different, as stated in your link: "changes have been made to Master Chief’s look in order to really make it obvious that he’s wearing “800 pounds of tank and jet fighter.”
It is not a change of armor though, it is visually different to implement that he is a super soldier.

Visual changes are changes though. It may not be a completely different armor, but it has changed.

Oh, I think I misunderstood you then, I thought you ment it was a complete armor change, but I understnad what you mean. Sorry for misunderstanding you

It also allows you to be shot in the nuts.
you know im going to be completely honest here.
the masterchiefs armor is a completely new set of armor aside from the helmet. the helmet looks very traditional and almost the same which is good, and im not saying his armour looks bad. its one of the best looking armours in the game.
i know it is the same set of armour Mjolnir MK. VI as in halo 2 and 3 and its just graphically updated and i know thats what its supposed to be, but it looks completely different. not saying its bad.
when i first saw it in the halo 4 teaser “Awakening Video” i was like wtf how does chief wake up in new armour with a jet pack and some explosive pistol? how?? i was kind of angry that the game wasnt following its direction logically.
but after awhile of seeing the chief in videos and pictures the epicness grew on me, and i started to love the new design and i dont mind it anymore, i like the direction halo is taking, coming from a die hard halo fan, 343 gets my okay
Perhaps there may be a story driven aspect at THE VERY BEGINNING of the game explaining his new look, maybe not.
It was a decent time ago, but I very much remember, just as many others, that they just said its a new look, nothing to batt an eyelash at.
Anyways, his new look grew on me, now, I honestly don’t want to see bungies mark VII armor, because the new looks gives him a lot more character, and he actually looks like a bad -Yoink- spartan should look!

I’m confused! You are saying that it is a “completely new set of armor” but saying that it is “the same set of armour Mjolnir MK. VI”, I don’t understand your point.
