Poll: Are you looking forward to Halo BR?

Not really interested in BR. If I was I wouldn’t be playing Halo, I’d be playing a BR game.

Honestly, they need to focus on getting Halo Infinite Forge running and NOT allocating resources to a BR game with a game that already has notorious server issues.

I agree. The game should be fixed before a BR, otherwise it would be pointless to add one.

A BR in Halo means you can do both. I’ll probably play Arena, once I get bored I’d switch to the BR.

Knowing 343 they’ll probably put a twist into it, like Team Snipers for example

BRs never really piqued my interest. Like, never.

It’s like a big massive free-for-all.

Yes I am looking forward to Battle Rifles only slayer coming soon.

I don’t mind Battle Royale but I still maintain it should be a completely separate game from Halo Infinite. It’s going to influence the sandbox and such way too much I feel. It’s hard enough to balance weapons as is already, let alone for Battle Royale. It’s just such a different type of game mode.

Overall though I’m not a really big fan of Battle Royale. I would much rather play a ODST style firefight or something. The things you can do with firefight, especially with equipment is just crazy. It gets me excited just thinking about it!!! …but then gets me sad because I know 343I won’t do it…and I honestly think a big chuck of the Halo community would rather play Firefight as well.

So yeah will I check it out, sure but I really don’t think it’s going to bring people back to Halo Infinite in my opinion. What they should be focusing on is fixing the crap load of bugs in the game, in their net code, getting forge and co-op play in and revamping their stupid challenge system that forces you to play game modes that you don’t want to play (which is completely ridiculous!!!)

Yeah, but how about instead of trying to capture the fans of other franchises they focus on their own?
Infinite doesn’t even fully do what HALO is supposed to do, so many missing game modes and lag/desync.
At bare minimum all resources should be pooled and getting the minimum standard for HALO done right before they misallocate resources into trying to tap into other game’s fanbases.

I’ll be frank :
I’m looking forward to anything at this point. Nothing in Infinite interests me at the moment.

I only request Flighting phases. Please 343, you MUST let us test this to iron out the problems before you launch.

Also all of this is meaningless if the game still runs poorly. Still tons of stability to be had in Infinite. Your 60,70,100 player BR will sputter and die before a week is through if all your players are unable to get a stable experience.

It seems that for the most part the game will be by the time a BR drops. Besides, Halo has a fun vehicular sandbox. Combine that with a large map (such as the campaign map), and you’ll get good combat scenarios unlike other games.

Happy to answer! That’s Delicate Arch, probably the most iconic landmark associated with Utah. Being a lifelong Utahn and wanting a fun/cool background for my BanjODST drawing, I decided to use a pic of that.

I bet some would assume it’s Utah arch. Even though it’s called delicate arch.

At this point I think they have a pool of players that would pay a bunch for content. Its all the Firefighters/PvE players. I know I’d drop big $$$ on Firefight DLC, well except Warzone FF. These players are dying of thirst. They are primed and 343 just keeps throwing meaningless cosmetics at the wall to see what sticks.

Looting is good, but for me I’d want to see a Vanilla BR without different versions of each weapon. We already have insta-kill weapons. Rockets, Sword, etc.

I’m not dropping another penny into Halo Infinite. It relies far too much on a bland and uncreative rinse and repeat challenge system, with aggressive over-monetized customization that was previously unlockable just by playing the games that came before. Now you MUST spend extra money in the store to get a similar or the same experience that the previous Halo games had. Halo games better be free to play from this point moving forward or I will probably stop playing them. Halo games just aren’t worth the time or money when 343 is involved.

343 turned the Halo franchise into McDonalds, where even if you spend top dollar for their “premium” items, it’s still just plastic food designed to look appealing for one or two photographs to put on their menu or commercials, but when you actually get it and remove the wrapper… you get a mock version of the food they photographed, that’s what Halo Infinite feels like to me, imitation or mock food. Yeah sure, it could fill me up, but only if I wanna put up with the wax-like cheese taste, and meal-worm bologna burger patty, with 4 month old frozen french fries.

I love Halo but I’m honestly not that desperate for a Halo game anymore, 343 slowly but surely killed my desire over the last decade. I know whatever they release is going to “look cool” and in theory, might become this amazing game, but that is just NEVER the case when it comes to 343 lol it’s time to wake up folks. This franchise is going NO WHERE with 343 involved and Microsoft could care less because 343’s Halo isn’t hurting the Microsoft brand, they really only care about Game Pass/Ultimate sales anyways.

i’m indiferent, bc i just don’t care for infinite anymore.
i’d try it out, but to be successful (and keep me invested) it needs a spin which makes it unique and keep BR players from just trying it out before going back to their usual BR game.
but based on 343s track record (i know, it’s made by certain affinity, but still under the banner of MS and 343) the BR will just be a boring standard BR, just like most BRs out there with nothing standing out and the player numbers will drop rapidly after an initial surge.

Absolutely zero interest. Based on the way things have been with Halo Infinite, my expectations are so far below the bar that you’d think the dirt the bar is sitting on is the sky.

I agree the cosmetics are so oversaturated I’ve no interest in the shop. I stick to the battle pass and weekly challenges. I also agree 343 higher ups are more concerned with their microsoft careers when they do not understand their customers at all. They should just go work managing a Taco Bell instead. That’s got franchise regulations they can follow. Halo is a creative IP with an expansive extended fiction. Those higher ups at 343 have misunderstood Halo from the beginning. They are just as bad as Rian Johnson and The Last Jedi. Ranting… Sorry.

If 343 really wanted to make more money sooner than later. They would do more with PvE. Rather than highering a whole additional studio to work on what is essentially a game mode with likely one map. If you go by traditional BRs.

343 has a great narrative opportunity with the Banished on Zeta Halo for the six months the UNSC has been scattering and fighting around the ring. Firefight is perfect to have an in game narrative telling the story of the UNSC during the Chief stasis. The firefight maps could take place in any biome, because the firefights could be around the rest of the ring since the main story takes place around the Gap. Imagine playing out Lasky and Palmers last stand like the end of Reach. They could do some cool stuff. ODST was developed in 14 months with a 5 person core team. With support of the larger studio.

Battle Royale is needless pandering to an audience that doesn’t currently exist. They SHOULD just fix and expand the base game.
