As a game, I like Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer, and the idea of it being free. However, there’s a lot of room for improvement. I see no reason to stagger the release of all the other stuff that’s been in older installments (other than user retention, F2P and all that), and the challenge system - one of the main interfaces of the game - is abysmal.

So I voted yes, but I can wholeheartedly appreciate every complaint that’s levelled at the game and the developers.

I don’t like how 343i handled Halo 4
I don’t like how 343i handled Halo 5
I don’t like how 343i handled Halo Infinite.

Company clearly has A LOT of internal issues.

I wish there was more than black or white options. I would probably honestly vote yes out of these two. But that’s pretty disingenuous to my actual opinion as I’m very mixed, but leaning slightly over the line of happy

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I was happy with them up to Infinite. Infinite is where I think they truly dropped the ball.

I think that instead of yes-no answers there should be a scale, say how much are you happy with 343 from 1 to 10…

How happy are you with 343?

I think it’s pretty safe to say @343 can’t be trusted and are completely winging this game. You look at all the shortcuts they have taken (laziness) from customization, features, gameplay all the way to the year delay.

They don’t have or had a plan other than hoping the community would just accept the game. I don’t even think you can call this game a beta.

Sadly this is very similar to what The Coalition did to Gears 5 minus the year delay.

Whoever voted YES and 7 are clearly 343 employees

Right now, line up, name what you like so much about 4/5/āˆž more than C/2/3/O/R

I’ll even give you some freebies.
I liked having new armors, good Forge, new pickups

Yes from the gameplay standpoint. But no from the lack of content and issues with the rest of the game. Seems like all the effort went into making the gameplay great and other features were thrown in after. Long term this means the game will be great but right now the game feels empty because of it. However if this is going to be Halo for the next 10 years, a solid gameplay foundation will mean that the game will stand over that time as long as all the issues get addressed.

Nobody’s mentioned mcc. You were satisfied with that release too?

Campaign order of preference for me:

Infinite
3
2
4
CE
Reach
ODST
5

Multiplayer order of preference for me:

3 / Infinite
5
CE
Reach
2
4

While it launched in an abysmal state, Halo MCC was awesome and I’m really glad they did it. Helped me to appreciate all of the campaign’s in a new way. I think 4 was fun campaign, awful multiplayer and 5 was fun multiplayer, awful campaign. Infinite is probably my favourite Halo in both areas. It’s fun as a social game, fun as a competitive game, I like that they’ve brought back HCS events in a big way. The game is super fun and I can’t wait for more content which I think will elevate it even higher.

343 brought me CE/2 anniversary too, along with MCC is the ultimate collection of Halo games. It revitalised a love of the series that was disappearing for me. I’m now fully back into Halo and I play it every week.

The campaign lost so much content in order for the game to release earlier, genuinely dislike how they unceremoniously resolved everything that Halo 5: Guardians and Halo 4 setup. Otherwise I can dig it more when the rest of the campaign is released, if it released. But I’m utterly done with the game as far as Multiplayer is concerned.

  1. Memory Leak issue causing crashing and graded performance
  2. Lack of an actual progression/level/xp system (Like MCC for example)
  3. All 3 Body Types look the same.

^ The three issues that utterly killed the game for me. Now I only get on for the campaign, if at all. But I praise what’s newly set up in it and the overall gameplay. Also ā€œThe Weaponā€ is cute and adorable, but not as cool as Cortana.

Knowing they don’t know how to create a functional game, like to lie to the player base face, and built this mess around the shop/BP and are proud of their work

343 should start looking into another business, maybe knitting would work for them, they can’t fu** up things as bad as they did with infinite playing with yarn.

I would have put 0 if the option was available.

I find this kinda tough to answer because Infinite succeeded almost everywhere I was expecting it fail (for the most part this is the most fun I’ve had in Halo since Reach, if not 3), and dropped the ball in a lot more areas than I was hoping it would (the store, playlist variety even now, lack of customs browser, etc.). 343’s biggest problem right now is how slow they are to do just about anything.

By pure virtue of bring MCC and Infinite to PC, they get a 6.

I’m sure they would find a away to mess up lol

A lot of the game if not most up to reveal was done by contractors. For 343, the decisions that were made have been one of their poorest of the franchise. Sandbox, vehicles, customization limitations and paywall, sever issues, campaign missing the Halo vibe of having alien environments (Zeta Halo looks like it takes place on Earth, ignoring the pillars of course, as well look at Reach it has alien environments still) and Master Chief actually working with different military units as part of the story. There are hundreds of soldiers on Zeta Halo and the whole story is Master Chief soloing the whole time and the existence of other survivors is never mentioned story wise, Brohammer literally is not the only normal person.

So 343 succeeded with the graphics, the style still does not have the Reach feel which it was inspired by, maybe its because of the environments on maps mostly being plain and uninspired for the most part.

True, but at least they wouldn’t be working on Halo.

Halo needs an actual company, not some cheap lazy business…
