What is 343 thinking? I bought LE for the in-game and digital content (mainly b/c it didn’t come with a lot of physical items) and i know that many others did the same. Then 343 goes and gives the map packs for $25, fine, but then it comes w/ the two “special” helmets form LE, NOT EVEN RE-SKINS. Now they’re giving everyone who played b4 Nov. 20th not only the specializations but also the special Recruit skin, assault rifle skin, and the scanner and strider helmets. What is the point of spending the extra $40 dollars now, not to mention that Gamestop doesn’t even give you the Forest Skin if you purchase LE (Yes i know this is not 343’s fault). But seriously, what’s going on?

Halo 4 LE is the last LE I will most likely ever buy again, UNLESS there are very nice physical items in the purchase.
Forza (another franchise I enjoy) has burned me beyond belief with buying an LE last 2 times.
The last LE I purchased worth EVERY penny was the Borderlands Loot Chest Edition. The chest is pretty sweet and so where the other physical items it came with.
I feel let down by 343 b/c if you were to get legendary for reach you got flame helmet, elite armor and statue

I got the Forest skin with my LE, they aren’t giving away the Recuit skin, Assault Rifle skin, or the Scanner and Strider helmets, the two “special helmets” don’t have to be reskins, they aren’t in the game. The LE was well worth it.
It’s shiny and looks nice among my collection.

i know they were not for free but in reach each map pack alone was almost as much as that one map pass

Im pretty sure they are because my friend got normal and got the recruit skin, assault rifle skin, emblem and scanner and strider. and im sorry, i meant for the two “special” helmets to be scanner and strider.
Microsoft paid for my LE version…so why not?

i actually made a post earlier but no one answered. so i thought i might as well, what do i have to lose. I really just want to see if im making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Scanner and Strider were originally exclusive to the non-LE map pack purchase. They were never LE exclusive items. 343 gave them to LE owners to keep from ‘punishing’ them for not purchasing the stand alone map pack.
oh i didn’t know that, i got it on Nov 6th and i didn’t see any one else using it so i thought it was for LE only

You are
Everything that was advertised in the LE you have, everything it came with, you have. It was worth the money, it was worth ordering, and you got the best HALO4 experience you could have for that money
No point moaning about it a month after release, there is no point crying over it if you got it and now think it wasnt worth it for you, its contents didnt change just because you bought it
Play the game, enjoy the game, have a good Christmas
The limited edition lets you upgrade your spartan past level 70 several weeks ahead of everyone else. The idea was to give hardcore players an edge as long as they shelled out the extra money for it. Besides, since WHEN has LE ever been truly worth it? 40 dollars can easily buy a whole new game. The plastic statues or extra game content has never fully satisfying in ANY LE purchase. DLC’s are generally where the cool -Yoink- is.

Well, I don’t know how your friend got them, but not everybody did. They’re LE exclusive. Also I know what you meant by “special helmets”. Strider and Scanner aren’t in the game, therefore there’s no point for a reskin.
