I’m a BTB fan also, but I just can’t enjoy Infinity BTB. Random Ordnance and personal Ordnance. The only thing separating it from fiesta, is the fact that there is more variety of Power Weapons in BTB and that personal Ordnance can’t be called down at the rate at which Fiesta does.
It’s bad enough that pp nades and pistol are in loadouts. To be fair, the vehicles aren’t really paper mache; it’s just the anti-vehicle dmr, plasma pistol and plasma nades, map design and gameplay that is making them look bad. Still, I feel they shouldn’t have ripped vehicle health away just to place it in a mod. They all should have great vehicle health across the board.
BTB Objective gets a lot of notice, but a BTB classic of some sort should be voiced just as much. I sure hell wouldn’t like Infinity BTB Objective, just like many despised Infinity CTF’s arrival.
I gave up on btb in this game. Its gotten progressivley worse since halo 3 and more and more popular.
This games BTB is unplayable for me unless I use the light rifle, which at that point just feels like im playing cod using a semi auto sniper.
But I have hope. The 6v6 crimson map pack playlist was actually really fun and was pretty much btb with a little objective and mainly infinity slayer. But with 12 players opposed to 16
When all the dlc is released and they make a dlc only playlist, i have hopes there will be a 6v6 playlist with the castle and crimson maps.
I agree. Infinity settings are an inbalanced mess that I’d rather see gone entirely. But BTB has taken the biggest blow from these infernal settings, ruining the point of vehicles almost entirely, and distributing power weapons randomly and with no consistency at all.
I hope that Infinity settings will someday meet their total annihilation and will be stuck in the deepest and darkest hellhole known to mankind.
Noob question but what perk are you talking about and what does it do. (I dont play much anymore so excuse the dumb question) And I agree Infinity settings shouldnt be the main settings for any playlist.

They need a whole set of playlists that do not use Infinity settings. Team Slayer, Team Objective, Dominion, BTB, etc. That would get at least me and my friends playing again.

Even just voting options within the playlists would be nice.
One of the reasons why I like playing CTF is because of the lack of Personal Ordinance. Take out Plasma Grenade and Plasma Pistol from the loadouts and I will sing praises from a mountain top!
This game is absolutely unbearable for a BTB player:
-Vehicle gameplay is RUINED thanks to Loadouts.
-The DMR has transformed BTB into Big Team Snipers.
-Now, luck decides which team wins (Ordances).
-We don’t have BTB Objective 6 months later. (It’s unbelievable, BTB OBJ is an essential playlist).
IMO, these changes 343 implemented have destroyed the 8vs8 experience. Loadouts, ordances and all that stuff are incompatible with the original Halo BTB gameplay. I’ve thought a lot about Halo 4 and I’ve reached two conclusions: the multiplayer is horrible, it can’t be worse; and 343, at least the MM design team, has no idea about how to make a Halo game (two examples: lack of the option that allows zombies to carry weapons, and the complete annihilation of the Warthog).

I don’t even know what their settings are. I went to the site and couldn’t find them, but I’m sure its better than Infinity Slayer lol.
