thank you.
kinsano have inferno in last tier power, cutter have pelicans in last tier power, large coldow and EXPENSIVE!!!, shipmaster,yap-yap,decimus third power is the BEST LEADER POWER of game AND CHEAP,:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

A. Calm down
B. They know, you can’t just say “Fix something” without saying how to. I say leave it where it is on the LP table and reduce its building damage

Also if 3 of your friends quit because of ONE tiny thing that’s better than the rest of the tiny things than they haven’t been playing long have they? Remember the ForgeHog? Voridus in his prime? Colony exploit?Jackrabbit Massacre? Sentinel Madness?(That last one was actually a long time ago, so I can understand if they didn’t witness that one.) If they can survive through any one of these things they can survive through the Cleansing Beam Craze.

My problem with cleaning beam is that it’s too much of bail out for bad play. It’s more of a problem in 2’s where the other person uses their leader powers to stun you while cleansing beam completely army wipes and comes back faster than you can get a replacement army. It’s a problem when leaders like Decimus who’s supposed to be known for his passives can consistently have a stronger army than other leaders and effortlessly clear armies at the same time.

It’s going to get some damage and speed reduction in mid-season balance patch.
T1 -1 speed and 10-15% damage reduction in center ring
T2 same speed and 10-15% damage reduction in center ring
T3 -1 speed and 10-15% damage reduction in center ring
Other areas may be a longer telegraph time of .5 to 1 more second and slight power increase in cost.

For now, I would suggest they spend time practicing against it to better split armies. But it will be being adjusted in the next mid-season balance patch.

For what it’s worth I have no problem with the speed, I thought the idea vs other damage tier 3 leader powers was that cleansing beam was more consistent damage than more volume damage like Mac blast so it shouldn’t be easy to avoid. The damage currently just leaves a very small room for error compared to other leader powers.

That’s because of the central damage on the beam. It’s at 125% of base, and we will be lowering it. The flipside of this is, if you invest 3 points into it, it should be strong. You only have to put 1 into an ultimate…

Again, this seems like yall are trying to do too much.

Beam needs an identity. Big damage to clumped units is one identity. Chasing down high value units is another. Buffing all of at the same time (as you did in this patch) removes any type of gameplay identity the ability has. I feel that nerfing them both at the same time will do much the same thing.

Seems like were gonna be left with a beam that does decent damage, but not enough to punish poor splits, that can’t chase down units once it comes down.

Basically putting it back to where it was.

I think for shippy i’d just remove tier three beam ( he already had a strong late game before the buff) and make banished raid two points instead of three. If you also replace brutes for elite enforcersbyou could have a strong but not broken leader, but that s just my 5 cents

From what Postums is saying, they aren’t rolling back all of the initial buffs they have done… they just went too far. So, I don’t think it is going back to how it was.

It will be stronger than it was. We just buffed it too far. Similar to how Forgehog was too strong. It didn’t go back to what it was, but was brought down to a more acceptable buff.
I personally made glassing beam too strong. In the mid-season update I will personally be lowering it down to make it not as strong as it currently is. We took bottom tier and made it top tier. Now the goal is to make it solid tier where it will hopefully live forever.

Postums,

Have you all considered shortening the duration of the Beam on screen, or extending the length of time it takes for the beam to come back? It’s one of if not the strongest move yet it has one of the shortest reset times.
I actually don’t mind the damage or the speed as much. It just seems like the beam will never end.

Those other things were far worst for sure so what’s the big deal a leader power that only 4 leaders have basically made th community go insane and like it’s the end of the world when worst things happened so give me a break are you serious
