PLZ Delet armor lock I cant take it anymore

I can take the got damn armor lock I am going back to halo 3. And why is the armor lock still in the damn ‘‘Halo’’ game its the worst thing ever I am going to Battlefield if this -Yoink- isent going to be gone and I dont wanna leav the halo games so plz dont make me to do it. I have hopes for Halo 4 and I trust 343 after I played Aniversary.

Ps:
Cant wait for halo 4!!

squad slayer, problem solved.

armour lock really isn’t that bad, people just exegerate it because they are impatient and hate waiting, yes it has it issues but nothing that bad …

A lot of the playlists already removed armor lock. They will never completely get rid of it in Reach obviously.

H3 is H3 while Reach is Reach. They are both Halo titles, and everything in them are respectively part of Halo. Like Haunted posted above, best thing to do is adapt to it or grow the patience required to play optimally against/with it.

If that is too much then enjoy your CoD/BF3. Some games aren’t for everyone (obviously) and if you are going to leave then you won’t be missed. (Truth.)

Patience = waiting for his team to show up, or walk away while he pops out and assassinates you?

OP: Just go into a TU playlist and fire a Plasma Pistol, or throw a grenade at it.

what i meant was to not be so eager for those kills, because people are so eager they make stupid mistakes, these stupid mistakes get amplified by armour lock.

Armor lock is garbage, invincibility buttons don’t belong in a halo title, and neither does any other AA. But bungie screwed us and we are stuck with it. The worst thing is, some people are so bad that they like it and can even convince themselves it’s a good game mechanic. The adapt argument is worthless. Would you adapt to enjoying the taste of a turd sandwich, or just say, “hey I’m not eating this -Yoink-”

The person making the stupid mistake is the AL user who gets away Scott free for being a terrible player who needs a crutch (an invincibility button in an fps, lol)

u make me sad

yea, the frosting effect is what does that though, but, the main complaints about armour lock aren’t that big of deal.

if frosting was to be taken off AL then that user won’t be getting away scott free …

Thats like saying the Riot Shield in CoD is for players who suck the whole time because they can’t get a kill without taking a risk of being shot/killed. They are implemented for a reason. I don’t see anyone in the CoD forums ranting about how the riot shield is for noobs.

Armour Lock was inserted in good hopes as it is basically a limited Explosion/splatter/bullet sponge. Specifically, its purpose is to get yourself out of a tight situation ( Facing a tank, wrait, ghost etc.) You could say Reach’s Armour Lock is similar to that of Modern Warfare’s riotshield, protecting the player while proving to be a distraction for the enemy team. Both cases can be beaten fairly easy, and I don’t see why people complain if its so easy to defeat an AL player.

Don’t compare halo with cod. There’s your first mistake

Halo CE - Halo 3’s Over Shield (drop-AL-form) vs. Halo Reach’s Armor Lock.

  • Many People Exploit both.
  • Armor Lock and Over Shield are used for few seconds of invulnerability.
  • Both require offensive tactics such as waiting before attacking their lowered shields.
  • Both require you to use your brain and play more optimally.
  • Both give you an option of what game setting to play on

When in doubt read:

and carl; Halo is a science fiction based game. Always has been since its first development. If you want anything more realistic, it’s called get-a-life.

Lol you don’t spawn with an over shield you can activate at any time, it’s not at all comparable to AL. To utilize the over shield you would need map control, which bungie also removed from reach with the addition of jet pack. But clearly you don’t understand these concepts, enjoy reach.

The difference: AL has infinite usages, and you spawn with it. Overshields are a 1-time use before they respawn, and must be picked up on the map, not chosen before you spawn.
You can also kill a player in Overshields. Good luck killing a glowing blue player.

so instead of providing an argument you resort to spouting blind opinions and attack, congrutulations, your post now holds 0 credit.

Well how about you, EMP it when fighting it and DONT USE IT when choosing. Problem solved.

> Don’t compare halo with cod. There’s your first mistake

The idea is the same between the two. They both serve the same purpose regarding protection/distraction. The fact that you didn’t even take my idea and thought it out goes to show that the minute a similarity between CoD and Halo show up,you jump on and blare the whole ‘don’t compare the two’ argument. There’s your first mistake. I know they can’t be compared, but you can’t deny that the Riot sheild from CoD and Armour Lock in Reach both serve the same purpose to the player.

Ok you’re right. In halo 1-3 you can spawn with an unlimited over shield

halo 3 dodge ball …
