Plug in a mic stop making excuses

Plug in a mic and stop making excuses. While halo gameplay has improved from reach to 5, the community is no longer social. I can see who is in a party, usually about 2/10 players. The rest should be communicating if your mic is plugged in. This would make the games a lot more fun.

What if players don’t have a mic?

No

Just because I have a mic does not mean I want to use it. The issue is that you normally have to deal with

  • Someone eating chips - someone playing there music through the mic - someone who is why into reproducing the Human Race - someone racist/sexist/discriminatory in another way or all of the above - someone having a conversation with the kinect to someone else not playing - someone yelling over the micI could keep going on but I made my point.

Yeah, no. Rather not waste my time.

… just like you can’t make me stay in a game with mute teammates.

Of course he can’t, but the banhammer can.

Lol, pretty much this. While you’re banned because of quiting matches from having no one to talk to, i will be enjoying my silent matches and still be happily earning RP and exp.

That’s why you make a couple extra accounts.

Maybe you could plug a pacifier in your mouthhole instead.

Just play on another account, they are free to make.

When I play with randoms and a game is close and I realise that my team is trying hard I do make callouts, however when we’re just getting stomped, or when we’re stomping the other team I find it unnecessary to make sweaty callouts. Additionally I’m really not always in the mood to communicate with some randoms.

I rather have my mic off, then to hear squeckers yelling into the mic, people chewing/smacking into the mic, and people who use the Kinect mic. I’d rather lose then to put on a mic. Losing to me doesn’t effect me in anyway.

I take a guilty until proven innocent approach to online. If people genuinely sound like ok people then I’ll use it. But too many years of dealing with children, people that blast terrible music, having arguments, etc has made me realize it’s just not worth. Besides, 95 percent of the time I’m in a party with friends anyway.

Nah being told im worthless at the game when i have a 2 k/d by someone with a .2 k/d just doesn’t make me want to

343 has made it VERY DIFFICULT to mute a specific person. Thanks UI! So nobody bothers anymore. If you want to talk so bad, send messages to Waypoint people or join a clan.

I’ve rarely used my mic in the past Halo games and did fine, people on average were competent enough to know what to do without being told. Now suddenly the average player is so terrible that they need constant direction? Sorry but no, I won’t plug my mic in just because people like you make a passive-aggressive post on the forums because people aren’t as good at Halo as they were before.

If I hear someone giving good call outs an trying to coordinate, then I will un-mute and help out where I can. Other than that it is usually not worth it.
