Pls 343 no overheating turrets and limited boosts in Halo 4,it was soo fun to splatter 1000s of people with the ghost or to make killionaires on standoff with the hog.
and in reach we were not able to do this
it would even make sense cause the technology developed, and i dont think the humanity still got problems with overheating turrets in 2553,as well as the covenant with boosts
so what do you think? should normal(not overheating or limited) turrets and boosts return?

All I read: 343! I hate being mortal! I want to be an unkillable god! I wanna have all the fun! Nobody else should have any fun! I shouldn’t have any weaknesses ever no matter what!
Think about it, Halo 3 had mega turrets that killed super fast compared to Reach and no overheat. Reach had turrets that could be beat by an AR and overheated.

Halo 3 had it right, and with all the ways there are to take out vehicles (both in 3 and Reach), the overheat lower damage made vehicles damn near useless.
Well, I was mostly referring to stationary turrets, but Halo 3 style turrets on vehicles would be balanced, considering all the vehicle disablers. PPs, power drains, lasers, rockets, trip mines, etc.
In my opinion, Turret’s overheating hardly had an impact on the Warthogs performance. Infact, never overheating is a hallmark of a Good gunner over an inexperienced Gunner. In all my experiences, the only time i’ve come near overheating a gun was when I had 5 targets behind me all firing my way and I was frantically putting fire on them to encourage them to scatter. Overall the times i’ve come near overheating are in absolutely frantic situations where i can’t afford to stop dishing out damage. It hardly limited the gun, just prevented people from cruising around jamming their right trigger all over the map. It only becomes an issue when an inexperienced player overheats the turret in a heavy combat area.
The boost should stay as it is, The ghost gets plenty of boost for it’s purposes. I actually use the boost frequently for the purpose of quick maneuvering on a dime(Sharp turn, boost, recover the lost speed) More often than not most players use the boost to flee a fight or rapidly approach a target(the Wraith in particular) The limitation is a nice change to the system. You can certainly still rack up splatters with the restrained use of boost, as long as you are mindfull of Armor Lockers.

Even turrets on stands are really easy to take out. Overheating was a pointless addition to Halo, and the lacking of that feature was a hallmark of the series (I think, at least).
Honestly, I do not want to see it return in any manner.
Boosting limits, I don’t really care about so much. It’s never noticeably affect my games.
I dont think that the overheating and limited boost should be add because halo 4 is a sequel of halo 3 and since halo reach was before halo 1 and halo 2 and Halo 3 did not have either of those so I think that since halo has evolved overheating is just taking a step back

If you were half competent with the turret in reach over heating never was a problem. Unless you’re spraying and praying it never really ruined the warthog, you just needed to pull your finger off the trigger for not even half a second and you could keep the heat level either non-existent or at the same spot for the entire duration of firing.

There was overheating in Longbow gameplay video. I also guess the Ghost has a boost meter. Which is good since it limit abuse from good and bad player and punish bad player for spaming.

Top left hand corner of the screen you can see a boost meter. Oddly not in your ordinary circle meter fashion but more in a bar. I wonder how long it’ll take before they make thread asking 343 to put it back to the old way

I shall start do one immediately! And then I will start a topic about how I can’t attach my shoelaces because of Halo 4.
