Please343 respondCSR MMR and Inconsistent Gameplay

I would like feedback and insight from 343 if possible. I understand the hundreds of emails/topics can be overwhelming in face of the other responsibilities everyone has at 343.

First I have noticed my CSR is not improving even when I’ve won 4 games in a row and have lost only two of the last 8 matches in Team Slayer. Two of those four I’ve had great k/d ratios (my latest 24k 6d). I’m not seeing my Plat 5 go up at all. Some of those matches I was the bottom two performers of the winning team. This leads me into my next thing.

I have put hundreds of hours into playing Halo and I just simply can not ignore the inconsistency of the game play. Those two recent matches where I was way ahead of my teammates in my score (or way behind) seemed entirely dependent on whether my shots, grenades, melees were connecting (not based in skill level or team play).

I felt godly in two of those matches as everything I was doing was fluid and seamless, all my shots where hitting their mark and grenades were very effective. When I was close or right on front of someone and I hit the melee button my melee actually connected with the opponent. My shots were measurable, I could consistently depend on the number of shots it took to kill an opponent.

On the other matches it feels like I’m playing with a handicap where it feels like I have to obviously shoot more of my clip to have the same effect as my opponent has on me, where my grenades barely phase my opponents health/shields, where my aim just feels like its not quite as fluid (sluggish), and my melees are the most frustrating being right up on an opponent and it’s like I’m striking air.

I have been incredibly tempted to collect and create a youtube video of the all the shenanigans that are blatantly obvious mistakes by whatever is deciding kills and deaths. There are more than enough examples that are simply black and white that do not lie in that grey zone of it could have gone either way.

To have matches back to back where in one I’m seeing these challenges (generally getting a lot of assists) performing poorly on the scoreboard, and then followed by a match where my actions connect and land and I feel godly is quite the mind -Yoink-.

My suspicion tells me it’s ping rate but alas that feels like the boogie man on here, the go to excuse for poor performance.

I was hoping there was some insight as to what this phenomena was. I really enjoy Halo and can be humble to players who obviously are performing at a higher skill level than my own. My frustration and disillusionment with the game and potentially the support for it is the lack of acknowledgement of the inconsistency and or what to do about it.

Like I don’t mind getting my -Yoink- kicked but I do mind when I clearly should have a kill and miraculously my opponent takes on what feels like 12 bullets,a melee that should have connected, and a grenade hit while still managing to get a kill shooting a bullet through a corner, a wall that I can pull up on video review, with corner bending bullets as a boost out of his/her view. These kind of scenarios happen more often then I’d like to see. I also see the flip of this where I’m facing multiple opponents and I manage to take them all out even with the fire power they are unloading on me (it’s a hell of an ego boost, rush, but my skeptic is going that ain’t right).
