Please..

Everyone complaining about this game, the community is going to continue to drop if you keep going on. I’m not trying to hate on anyone, but seriously, think about the ramifications to our beloved Halo if everyone keeps complaining about how bad it is. Give 343i time to fix it. I’d like Halo to stay alive and well. It is of course, still better than some of the most popular shooters still, and takes more skill than most out there also.

I agree we should give it time, but disagree that we shouldn’t point out flaws.

It going to get EVEN worse if they don’t fix it quickly, There are sold like 7milion copies of halo 4 i believe… There are only 130k People only max.
So we should calm down? The whole -Yoinking!- communinty sold there copy of halo 4 or just dumped it somewere.
We don’t here a single thing of 343 there is lack of communication, Not even a bullitin.
The last was 12.12.12 thats almost a month a go, How much time do they need half a year? Well i can tell you by that time halo 4 will only have die hard fans left and there are not much of them

Pointing out flaws is okay, but not in the negative manner that people have been seeming to do. It will discourage others from buying, and have friends, talking to friends, talking to friends, you get the point. Word spreads fast, even out of forums. I want to say again I’m not saying we shouldn’t point out flaws, but trying to discourage people from leaving, and encourage people to join. It really is still better than most shooters out there. Like it or not, Bungie won’t have control over halo for the next two games still, so literally everyone saying “Play Reach” is not helping out the Halo we have now, and the Halo for the next probably 4 years that we’re hopefully going to have.

ill give them time to fix it when they acknowledge that something is wrong.

How will the game get worse if the community continues to voice their opionions? Just asking because I’m not catching the logic. Would they just ignore them out of spite, or fix only the complete opposite of what they say to fix? Seriously, just wondering because I’d imply that a voiced opinion (at the very least) is a considered opinion.

I did not mean the game, I will edit the post. I meant the population problem will. Like I stated before, word spreads fast, and I would like this game to revive, and flourish. As I also previously stated, Bungie won’t be back for at least two games, so if you like 343i or not, (I personally like them), we need to keep the community alive and encourage people to come back.

> ill give them time to fix it when they acknowledge that something is wrong.

They have a thread specifically for stating problems, and all problems I’ve seen stated, they edited the post giving workarounds, and are most certainly at least adressing the issues.

Fair enough. But couldn’t I just easily say that if the community suggests imporvements, 343 listens and makes said improvements, the community will strengthen? Word does spread fast, that’s true. Can you imagine if 343 were more vocal and supportive how well that would spread throughout the community? Positivity can spread just as fast as negativity, just don’t hold only the community to those standards. 343 needs to spread the word, too. They have not been competant or honest since release and that is a shame. That negative virus has spread to the community.

As I previously stated, there is a thread for them addressing the issues, although I agree they need to do it more. They could call gaming websites and set up interviews, publicly announce their continued dedication to making Halo 4 the greatest Halo yet while addressing the issues, and doing things in a much quicker manner. But people saying things like “Halo 4 blows”, “Worst Halo ever”, is NOT helping the future of IMO, the best shooter franchise.

Let me tell you a story though, back in the golden age, when Halo 1 was still an idea, and the first Xbox was all the craze. Think of possibly the most hated franchise by many shooter fans, Call of Duty. Then think of Call of Duty 2. Now maybe you never played it, but Call of Duty 2’s entire system, (besides being on PC originally and the server system), was extremely similar to Halo 4. It can be argued it took more skill, but right now, Halo 4 still takes more skill than most shooters still. It’s been many years since Call of Duty used that entire gameplay method, but yet, Call of Duty is the best sold shooter franchise, and quite possibly the most hated. Now Halo 4 is using the same one, but even more improved, and still not as BS as Call of Duty’s current gameplay and playerbase. What could this mean? Halo may be evolving, just like everything does, and could eventually be “The King” so to speak in the future. We do have to remember, every game does evolve and take on changes, and most become more popular afterwise. Yes, maybe 343i did this change very suddenly, and peaked the learning curve, but they took risks, and risks that have me playing the best Halo multiplayer I’ve ever experienced (flame if you feel the need).

No, it’s all good. I see your point and it’s valid. There is no need to flame posts or flame 343. I appreciate a proper discussion on this game. Although I don’t have that “uncontroble itch” to play H4 like I did other Halos, I still enjoy it every so often. I loved the new look and feel of the game at first and then all of the random and chaotic factors of the game (ie loadouts, ordinances, specializations, power weapons, ect) started to catch up with me and I had a really hard time adjusting to the vastly different gameplay. Learing the maps and various stratigies over time has definitly brought me back into the fold. I even purchased the Map Packs. I was not too impressed with them but I appreciate the variety most. And I’ve discovered a love for BTB that I hadn’t had in previous titles. It’s my new favorite. So, it’s taken a while but I am discovering new ways to get that “itch.” Reach had that competitive itch and H4 has a strategic yet casual itch I can’t yet describe. But it is there somewhere and it is emerging so I look forward to the updates and new maps.

I appreciate the discussion. Thanks.

I did too, and thanks for not flaming lol. Most of the interwebs like to do that these days lol.

See, community?

Halo 4 isn’t dead already. Don’t you know that a TU can save your game?

BTW: I love Halo 4. Just making that point.

A lot of people are saying Halo 4 is BS, the worst Halo and that they’re never going back. THAN, when you go and look on their profile, and last time they played Halo 4 was when might you ask? Oh, that’s right… today. I think much more people like this game then whats portrayed. There’s always this kind of controversy at the start of a lot of games, and people have to join the bandwagon, because, you know, we all need 100 friends on Xbox live. By the way, I also love Halo 4 :D. To me, it’s very innovative, and while some people say it’s -Yoink-, I think it’s innovative and a step in the right direction. Buffs are needed though lol, and bug fixes.

BS angel was on vacation, there will be a bulletin next week. Also, rizukel (a community manager from 343) was on the forums last night.(which was probably the day after his vacation)

Ah, see? Now we know. Everyone was so busy complaining that people forgot there’s a world outside of Halo xD. Just kidding, but thanks for clearing that up.

People can express their opinions if they wish, even if it is complaining.

I for one don’t like some of the things in multiplayer, but I don’t spend all my time complaining about it. I just suck it up and deal with it, it’s a damn video game guys.

343 had 3 mother-yoinking years to fix it, never mind the fact the general game mechanics are just a terribly codified version of halo. If 343 lose their halo community its their fault, end of story.

That’s the logic that gets us nowhere. No offense of course. You need to bring in new customers to generate revenue. Like I said, pointing out flaws is one thing, but such negativity when you point them out truly is not needed. I mean honestly it’s Halo, so respectfully speaking, even it is a codified version of Halo, it’s Halo, so I don’t understand what you’re getting at there honestly. No offense honestly. Now it being a terribly codified version? Maybe it’s not terrible, just different. It seems to me more people are mad about the game changing, than looking at the fact that many things change, including games. They took a risk, so what? Yes balancing is needed, but it’s like that in the beginning of many shooters. When I change majors in college, people don’tgo “Man, what the hell? That’s what you were good at, you had three years to decide and now you change it?” They said “Hey, good luck, and I hope you do good at what you do.” We were very used to Halo 3, a very good game agreed, but Reach and this are very good games, both in which people complained in also. The sad thing is, there’s just as many people that like this game as hate it, but misery loves its company. Another thing, many people are hating on Halo 4, but in a section dedicated to Halo 4. Ironic to me.

Just give it time, OP. Before long the Forums will calm down. Complaining about complainers does nothing.
