kiddo, i doubt 343i will do that. It will somewhat be unfair, thats #1. #2, 343i will immediately say to you, as well as other halo reach players, “UNLOCK THE ARMORY THE WAY EVERYONE DOES THROUGH PROGRESS AND RANKING”. That is all.

Not everyone is going to like that idea, and so If it were to be impelmented, people who are working hard to reach say, the haunted helmet, would be quite unhappy.
Instead, maybe give out some free creidts as a thank you. Maybe.
I could see them doing that but not all the armor pieces and not any time soon.

They didn’t unlock it for everybody.
Bungie released the Vidmasters, and upon completion of all seven Vidmasters, you could unlock Recon.
Once 343i took over Halo statistics in March, they began giving Recon to everyone regardless of the Vidmasters because they had no plans to continue the Road to Recon challenge.
If they didn’t unlock Recon for everyone, it would have been impossible to unlock.
All the armour in Halo: Reach is still possible to unlock regardless if a new game comes out.
No offense, but that would be a stupid move. It would be like if Treyarch or Infinity Ward instantly prestieged all of its players once the next game in the series came out.
After Halo 4, there will still be a sizable community playing Reach. Let’s let people progress in the game like they want to, and we’ll love the armor we have.
… Haunted Helmet is overrated and stupid-looking anyway, imo. You’re not missing out on much.
I worked for two months to unlock the EVA helmet when Reach first came out and I made quite a few threads on other Halo forums complaining about the difficulty in unlocking the helmet. Looking back, I am glad that I wasn’t given any freebies because it made the helmet that much more rewarding when I finally unlocked it.

No they shouldn’t. This is like referring back to Halo 4 post, giving those who are and/or reached inheritors rank a reward for max rank completion, and basically screw those who didn’t make it to Inheritor. If 343i were to unlock all armory, it would be really unfair to those who busted there rear ends to reach a high rank and for that matter cRs so they can unlock 100% armory. Also, that includes those who had to unlock other armors from different games, like the Military Police helmet. Ppl had to complete ODST to unlock it. Now to those who don’t have the game and wishing 343 to unlock armory. Absolutely not, I disagree fully. Sorry, but that is totally unfair to others. Get it the way everybody else gets it.

In March, I meant after Bungie stopped updating their website, meaning you could no longer change your nameplate, you could no longer unlock Recon and all the stuff that was exclusive to Bungie’s website, I’m well aware 343i have had control since August 2011, otherwise we wouldn’t have had the -Yoink!- Title Update until March 2012.
If it makes you feel better, I’ll update my post to say when 343i took over statistics for Halo.

I’m not sure why you need the whole armoury to “live out the rest of (your) time with REACH”. The game isn’t going anywhere! You are still welcome to play it whenever you like and rank up plenty. Further to this, we all know armour options have no in-game effect, so that playing experience will not be compromised by limited armoury options.
Before anyone starts screaming that nobody will be playing Reach once Halo 4 comes out, consider that many people cannot afford to buy new games whenever they choose to; also consider the fact that Halo 3 servers continue to maintain healthy populations and many an entertaining game of H3 is being played online to this very day.
This is why, although I also love to have the nifty armour choices, I don’t see any valid argument in your request. If you really want the haunted helmet or inclement weather, you can still get them; anyone playing enough Reach will get there eventually! However, if their existence in your Reach armoury will become an afterthought once Halo 4 is released, then why expect anything? Enjoy what you’ve got before you move on!
Whatever your armour choices may be, wear them with pride, Spartans! Viva la difference!
As much as others are saying to heck with it, I’m going to go against the norm and say why not on a single condition:
You get the armory unlocked. For two weeks. Then, it reverts back.
I don’t mind letting people enjoy the freedom of the armory system as the purpose of a video game is to have fun, but I do protest people expecting it to be given to them forever. Sure, you can make the credit system drop the requirements and I think 343 would be wise to do that, but to give it all away? No thanks.
Earn that privilege like the rest of us did. A simple two weeks is fine. The rest of your time online? No.
I still had to manage it legit and that was only about a month or so ago.

they did give out free credits. dont know when. but i know that “new” recruits got a free 5000 credits for nothing. i worked all the way up to inheritor. then played maybe one game. and put the game down to play the other halos. if armor was unlocked at all. they would have to leave haunted locked. i worked hard for that. if you want it. work for it even after h4 comes out.
