This is not in ANY way a complaint or a message of hate, just a request.
Ofcourse, Halo 4 is the sequel to Halo 3, telling the story of MC after the events of its predeccesor. It is set in the very same universe, with the very same characters and their very same lives, but we know this game is, by far, Nothing like any other halo.
There has been a lot of slating of Halo 4, and everyone is fully entitled to their opinions, in fact i welcome them. What interests me and somewhat concerns me is the manner in which these views are structured. I have seen many people reffering to Halo 4 as ‘ruined’ and some people compare Halo 4 to other games, and this makes sense, but what i ask is that you look at Halo 4 not as Halo 3’s successor, but as an entirely NEW Halo.
343i Isn’t Bungie and they’re not going to make Halo 3, so think of this new game as what it is, a NEW game. Seperate it from all of the other halo games, look at it and experience it as a standalone product, made by a different company with different things.
Would you buy halo 4 right now if you didn’t know anything about halo? Ofcourse you would, because it kicks the crap out of anything out there right now. COD, Battlefield, they’ve got nothing on halo 4, it’s friggin beautiful.
I love the Halo community, you’re all smart people with such bold personalities and strong opinions and i’m not slating any of you because i’m one of you, i simply ask that you look at things from my eyes, and maybe you’ll appreciate halo 4 like i do.
It isn’t halo 3 and it never will be, but it’s a damn good game when you don’t compare it to other things. Nothing can ever live up to the experiences that we all felt on halo 3, because they were so brilliant, and i will always look back at halo 3 as the ultimate, elite game, but that is what it is, its THAT game that’s never going to be beaten. Halo 4 is great, when you look at it as 343i’s first game.
