The one thing I truly hate about MM is the idiots who lose the game by crowding teammate.

I don’t mean when a group of you attack together. That’s just common sense. What does annoy me are the idiots who get right behind you so when you try to retreat you get blocked.

But even worse are the idiots who push past and block your shot. Like just now, the Gauss Hog was ripping through our team. I call in a Spartan laser and just as I go to make the kill shot this idiot pushes in front and opens fire with an AR. This alerts the Hog gunner and BLAM! and we are both dead.

Now if he hadn’t blocked my shot we would have gotten the kill and we both be alive.

I’m not the best Halo player by far… in fact I suck a lot of the time so when teammates end up losing the game through stupidity it gets annoying.

So PLEASE THINK when you are going into combat. Don’t crowd and try not blocking teammates shots. They could end up thanking you.

It’s amazing how many players just rush into the fray over and over dying every time. They may end up with 24 kills but they also get 26 deaths. That does not help a team. At all. My favorite are those Warthog lone wolves madly rushing about the map with no gunner until they get blown up or deliver the warthog to the other team.

In fairness, everyone can sometimes do stupid things in the heat of battle, but I see your point. In BTB there was a Mantis killing our team, and I called in rockets for an ordnance drop. I died before I could reach them, but three of my team mates were all close enough to pick up the rockets and destroy the Mantis. But instead they all carried on spraying it with AR fire, and of course got killed. The rockets were RIGHT there in front of them, for anyone to pick up, and I said so. Maybe they just didn’t want to “steal” my ordnance, I don’t know. But it was ridiculous.

i concur but for a different reason.
I hate when I have the snipe on a medium size maps and my teammates spawn right on top of me. not only do they give away my position, but also since the dmr has such a far range, they decide to “camp” were I’m at so I can’t even move or I get shot at.

I’m on a ramp with a sniper, teammates spawns, stays where he is and starts shooting at people on the ramp and won’t get off.

Yeah… Forgot that one. Used to be one of my pet hates in COD too. For instance you are in a building with two windows. You are sniping from the one window. Idiot jumps in front of you firing an AR then jumps to the othe window and does the same. I lost count of the number of my shots went into the back of the idiots head (ff off).

It’s these kill hungry idiots that can ruin a game. If they want to steal kills they should go FFA and leave the team games to people who want to play in a team.

Halo is for EVERYONE! Not just you “l33t” players. I’m not by far a good player and my presence in a MM mostly end up giving the opposing team a nice treat of kills. My K/D is usually around 13/30, but I’m not complaining. I’m having fun, I’m learning and trying to get better. Struggle is a better word.

So you mean I’m not welcome in your l33t MM games? I can’t drive the Warthog as I please because I ruin your little game? I can’t use the AR on a Mantis just because I like to Spray’n’Pray the AR and like the sound from it, but I MUST use the Rocket Launcher to kill it? Is there a law against things like that?

Yes, there IS a social code of conduct to not deliberately sabotage the gameplay for your fellow teammembers, but did it ever occur to you that players are NOT trying to ruin your game but are actually having a good time, doing their very BEST!!! It would seem not by the way you flame away…

I sincerely suggest you guys start up some ELITE clan for players that are not dumd, stay in Custom Games and avoid the open MM games, because by god, there might be DUMB and BAD players there, who just play for FUN because they know there’s more to life than just score sniper kills or making a successful retreat. It’s a GAME. You RESPAWN!

I wouldn’t be able to look at myself in the mirror if I was calling other players dumb on a forum, HIDING cowardly behind a screen alias, just because other players didn’t live up to my gaming standards. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

If your own teammates are constantly blocking your shots, perhaps you are not camping in high enough ground. Remember the jet pack is your friend wink wink

Trying to go up against a Mantis with just an AR is going to get you killed pretty quick. It isn’t people being ‘l33t’, it’s people being efficient by trying to use the most effective method to neutralise a target, thus benefiting both player and team.

It doesn’t happen often enough to be a problem, but I’ve been blocked a few times yes.

Yes thinking first would be nice. Also please don’t betray your team because they beat you to the vehicle/weapon you wanted (had this happen yesterday, I grabbed the sniper rifle one of my teammates turned around grabbed the Mantis and started unloading on me-karma was with me when red teams Banshee swooped down and killed him) and don’t waste time sitting on the spawns (same match 3 of my team were sitting on the sniper spawn) when you can be out helping your team.
