Please take your time 343i

Please don’t tell me you guys do this.
Thanks for pushing for a 2020 release. I want a great game and I also want those who make the game to be rewarded for their hard work.

No crunch

Thanks 343i for the efforts and works you have made :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Exactly. No need to spit the games out one after another. We will be more than satisfied with simply having Reach on PC this year.

As much as I want Halo Infinite now, or in 2020, If there are delays, take your time 343, a long awaited game is better than a bad one

Exactly; I would rather wait a long time for a well polished game than to get a rushed game quickly.

I agree. Hurry up and take your time… lol

I hope its perfect

It will be one hell of a project. I’m excited!

This statement is starting to bother me.Halo mainline games always had 3 year dev cycles and they were fine.Halo 5 was the only halo game that needed probably another half a year before release. Now infinite is going off a 5 year cycle and people are still saying dont rush it.That why there taking 5 years. Its not going to be rushed. Its like you guys want it to be indefinitely delayed

I’d rather them delay the game and release it when its ready to be released instead of getting a game like Fallout 76. Games are getting bigger and they are getting more complex. A three year cycle back when Halo 2 and 3 were released was what was needed to release a polished campaign and multiplayer experience, with additional time after for polishing the game with a few patches. If we wanted the same old Halo game, I’m sure a three year cycle would be sufficient. But the community has voiced its displeasure with the way Halo has been going, and instead of keeping to that kind of timeline, they dedicated enough time to build an entirely new engine for the series. No one here wants it permanently delayed, but no one here wants a broken game either.

My point is 5 years is enough

It’s not up to the community to decide what it is a long enough development time for a game, that is entirely up to the team developing the game to decide. 343 have decided that already but that could change at any point and if it does, we deal with it.

One thing you’re forgetting is the fact they are making a new engine, which takes a LOT of effort on top of the game’s development. The 5 years in development isnt 5 years of infinite, its more likely 3 for the engine and 2 for the game.

To be honest, I wanted Infinite to be released this year, but it’s better that 343 are taking their time and putting more effort into the game

IMO the dev cycle should be 4 years

Yes OP. Preach!

I agree! I think it’s great 343 isn’t rushing this game and is really focusing on having a complete product. It’s clear that they are listening to the fans now!
